Green light means go

Under normal circumstances while your plants are undergoing the flowering stage photoperiod, it is highly suggested that ABSOLUTELY no light pear into the grow room/area. Failure in heeding this advice could lead to the plant reverting to vegetative growth or slowing bud production.

But what if say, you work during the day when you have your lights set to be on and can't work in your garden at this time, in fact the only free time you have is at night when your lights are off.

Do you risk it and move in with the lights on?

SHIT NO YO!

You can I suppose set your timer for 12/12 with the dark cycle being during the day when you are at work this way when returning you can work in your garden.

But now the situation is that should you have the lights on during the night it begins to seem odd to perhaps electric companies (who half the time depending on area and service provider will go unnoticed as long as you pay your bills on time) or maybe even roomates or neighbors are the issue.

Solution:  Green light bulb

Using green bulbs in your grow room as light for you to work by will not disrupt your plants and allows you to check your meters, plants, add nutrients etc. whatever needs to be done.

But be aware that when entering the grow room if any none-green light
( ex. hall light) enters that can disrupt their sleep.
The green light is not the best light to work in but does the trick when you're stuck in an odd situation.

Peace

It seems that if you lights come on at around dinner time and go out when everyone goes to work you would be ok. This way if the meeter readers come your lights are off the smell is less and you will go more un noticed from power disruptions.

Most growers will use a night cycle rather then a day cycle to go less noticed by prying eyes :cuss: . The green light is a good idea harvester good call and will probbly help a lot of the other growers out.

To get rid of the hall light thing just make a double entrance close the door behind you and then open up your grow room, however this will all depend on the size of your room. Or just turn the hall light out

Just like you said, Harvester, and growers should
Take note that a green glass light is what you need, the kind that makes your leaves look black, when no other lights are on. I believe that a light with a green tint, or a green film over it, or anything else that will make it look green, when it really isn't, won't work like you think it should.

the best thing to do is build a grow box, one with proper ventilation that doesnt let any light escape or come in. they're reletively easy to make out of stuff you find at home. with this method you could have the room lights on during the flowering period if you wanted, just so long as the box was closed

its just a simple green incandesant bulb..the green light doesnt affect the plants in any way or disrupt their photoperiod....

be careful you don't just get a bulb with green glass that still puts of daytime spectrum
At the indoor garden store I shop at sometimes, and online, I have seen hat attachments and ear pieces that are supposed to throw out green spectrum light so you can work on your plants at night without messing them up. I believe they are LED lights, and they're only $10 or less. I have no experience with them though, but I do plan on buying one if they really have no effect on flowering marijuana.

is the green light truly not affecting the photoperiod you guys???
Nope. I use to use one of those green incadesent "party" bulbs when I needed to tend to my plants during 'lights off time'.

They actually suggest using a green light.. if your having to work on your plants during 'lights off' period... because the plant doesnt

react to the green color of the bulb. I would only suggest the same.. to you or anyone else.
