If anybody ever had an issue, safety or warranty wise, Im sure it would have come up by now... I mean, they are waterproof, you really need to be looking for trouble to get hurt with this light. I dont understand your consistent bashing of this company, Fud. I really dont. I have only seen posts of yours related to this issue, I think it is really silly, despite your elegant writing and elocuence, which I dont give much for.

Something important such as safety certification might not be of interest to you but it is to many others.

It is also important to know whether a vendor does in fact have such certifications as other members of this forum have indicated. Claiming to have a certification when not having it is pretty deceitful and I would stay away from a vendor caught using similar practices.
Are you starting a grow light company or do you already own a grow light company?

I personally don't care for safety and get a few volts now and then, but it's not a hard thing to pass and I highly doubt anyone with a real business will be taking time to reply on a recreational forum unless it has to do with sales. More important things to do IMO. I'll be starting micro greens soon and won't be on here to much for example.

You may not care about safety but others do :)

Neither.

Maybe they have? The cult following seems pretty vicious and quick to jump on anything that isn't completely positive in relation to the vendor. Most people probably just moved on and bought better product.

Like I said before, if you think the vendor's results are good, or believe in whatever they are selling, that is your choice. Do your research and make your own decisions.

We get it you don't like them
Enough we all know your opinion on the matter stop beating a dead horse

I'm all for people being able to review bad or good and have a say but at this point you're just going into all threads related to him and just slandering him
Stop
This is the last time I'm asking

Ah so he must be talking about becoming a sponsor again then!

And really, slandering him? I have posted twice in response to threads concerning safety over the past two weeks. Somewhat baffling that a site would see the promotion of safety being slander. But that is your prerogative running this forum and I do understand the business rationale of the position.

Seeing as this site is fairly useless and my interest here has waned, feel free to go ahead and delete the account. Satisfy the vendor's conditions and give the cult following their allusion of victory. Win for everyone!

Winning :hump:

Safety smafty, nobody here cares about safety.tell me how any led,and i mean ANY led,is less safe than running street lights in your basement ( any 400,600,1000w hid) in which case none have any U.L. listings? You went out of your way time after time to make a beef with only 1 lighting company here and when you did make a post about any other topic which wasn't many, you were for the most part wrong in everything you have to say about lighting and growing weed.still not sure your not a cop.
Im glad a mod finally said something and even though I doubt it, i hope they fulfill your request to delete your account lol.

nope hes not a sponsor, and quite frankly since i dont deal with advertisers at all i will be honest and say i dislike his personality towards me he treats mods unfairly and rudely. however thats a personal opinion and my personal opinions dont mislead the moderation duty i have to this community, enough is enough you clearly have an axe to grind and its obvious youre beating a dead horse we get it you dont like his company move on
but since oyu have asked ot be banned ill happily fufill that request

So is that confirmation that the certification was never obtained?
If you are looking for a UL approved fixture, I am sure you can find one.
Even if you use all UL approved devices, that does not mean a fixture is UL approved. Using all UL approved components only leaves connections as an issue. If UL approved connections are used you have a safe fixture.
Having a fixture with UL rating makes the fixture more expensive as customers have to pay for the expensive process.
Are non-UL fixtures safe? Depends on the company. Are UL fixtures safe? Depends on the company.
I speak from experience.

go through certification be it hipot/emissions name it, then open your mouth
Gene goes the effort, it is a long, expensive & grueling road.

if not for him I'd still be lurking in the shadows wondering what all the grow nerds are up to theses days, instead I'm rocking the shit out of some COBs

UL is not end all be all, it's simply due diligence, anyone with enough money and some effort can get through a dog and pony 3rd party cert, but it still takes a long ass time, oh and your supplier changed the mold for a connector, oh and now you have to go back to design and start over..

There have been no issues from or about anything FUD has made claims of. It was and is 100% libel, and hopefully are past that kind of behavior around here.

Anyways...just going to set some things straight...

-PLC uses all authentic parts and components direct from the source, or an authorized distributor. All can be verified.
-There have never been any customer complaints about drivers, chip, or anything to do with authenticity that the troll has claimed. What he has done is liable and if it was not for the anonymity of this site, would be sued.
-PLC is an Official CREE horticulture branding partner; using authentic, compatible, and approved components throughout our fixtures.
-PLC has never claimed to be ETL listed. Our lights have been submitted and are going through the process. But again, never claimed anything other than intention to obtain ETL. That is more than any "site sponsor vendor" other than Nextlight else can say. When it is finished, the number will be public. So again...publicly and knowingly making false statements of me and PLC of being fraudulent is libel…as is letting it happen. Safety matters, and we make completely and overly safe lighting fixtures. As well as have adequate insurance.
-We had our light sphere tested by T.U.V. .There is no guessing.
-There are numerous commercial grows(20-150 lights) using PLC lights. A few shown in my thread that was shut down instead of moderated. There could have been more.
-We are working on energy rebates from local utility companies because we have all the data and validity behind it to obtain such rebates.

Thank you to everyone that has not given in to the libel and who have given their testimony of actual product use. As well as thanks sunni for looking at this from a non-bias viewpoint and putting feelings aside.
I and PLC stand behind everything we make and do. We are transparent about everything, and if you have more questions, we always answer them.
Maybe one day I can share things in my thread again.
