Growmol light question

Hello, I have a couple questions. I just bought a growmol gm300, I'm in the vegitation stage, the plants are a couple weeks old. There is a dimmer in the light that goes from 0 - 100 % It says 100% is okay for vegitation but I turned it down. Was reading people saying you gotta get the plants used to the light, I had turned it down to about 30 and slowly work it up too 100. Thanks

Oh no, here we go again. It's not good news, return it if you can, run at 100% if you can't. Blurple lights are old, inefficient tech. Those 300 watts are their imaginary equivalency to 300 watts.

If you cant return it open it up and check out what type of driver it has. You may be able to use the guts with a qb.

Lot's of reading. ;) I'm no expert, but 30-40 watts per square foot of efficient led is common. An HLG Quantum Board is good for many beginners. https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/kits

The people here can give great recommendations, but need some info.
Growing experience?
Size of grow area?
Budget?
Interested in DIY? You can build a top notch light at lower cost.
Are there any other led options besides Quantum Boards that would work?

I'm going to guess your light has one or more drivers inside of it powering the lights. Along with a few fans and power supplies to power them. In most cases you can match the drivers to cobs or quantum boards. I took one apart that had 4 130v 630mA drivers which would make for a few options. The HLG Quantum boards that have 288 of the Samsung diodes are pretty common but hard to get but that board can consume between 47.7 - 54.54v . If your led has a similar driver then you could snag two of them and they would work. If your unfamiliar with electrical then i would suggest you get a better understanding before wiring up a light. Its not too difficult to learn. Perhaps check out growmau5 on YouTube.

A QB260-kit would be awesome for your space. These kits are complete, no need to destroy the other light for drivers!
Sell it on e3ay and get a few F-strips if you want some side light or use it to veg plants in another tent. Later you can convert it into a white COB light by interchanging only the LED's.
There are a good few vids about that on youtube:

I guess I should have done more research, without knowing what I'm really jumping into. I just want a light that's gonna give me 100%. With the first response it kinda bummed me out
