- 355 Mass Shootings in 338 days so far, in 2015.
- Amongst developing nations, US is #1 in gun violence on the planet. By far.
- In 12 years, Guns have killed more than AIDS, war and drug overdose, combined.

And here are the big ones:
- Gun ownership directly correlates to gun death.
- Guns are not responsible for drops in crime rates.

Most of you know where I stand on guns. So, what do we do about guns?

With freedom comes responsibility...

Since Americans have developed a legal system that does not recognize said responsibilities, it's easy to just take away rights... but that's a slippery slope to fascism, and this country has already slid most of the way down it.

Guns aren't the problem. People are the problem.

I was gonna say,...Maybe we shouldn`t be so Free,...but this covered it.

I think alot has to do with the country not addressing the need for more mental health facilitiies. It is also very hard to see a psychiatrist if you dont have insurance. most normal people are not going out to kill a bunch of people, its the fucking crazy fucks that fall between the cracks. it will continue untill america addresses mental health instead of ignoring it.

I also think we need to buy more guns.

Why does anyone oppose stricter checks for gun buyers? That would not keep any qualified people from getting guns. Yet the nra opposes it. I don't understand. its almost like they are trying to be difficult. How could they oppose more background checks? My dad is in the nra, so I don't hate the nra. I just don't understand them sometimes.

Because we know that someone committed to being a terrorist isn't bothered about our laws anyway. So what does taking away our rights have to do with terrorism, other than making us easier targets?
PS no NRA affiliation.

Would people still be the problem without the guns?
Yes. You know that. Look at history. Humans are a violent species.

We kill, rape, plunder, and destroy the world.

Maybe enforce the laws already on the books a little better and improve mental health services and we might get somewhere.

I'll play along for a second. OK, we ban guns. Who turns their guns over? The criminals won't. They are a criminal.

I don't know what the answer is but taking guns from law biding citizens is not the answer.

Sitting in a circle singing Kumbaya does not make you an apex predator it makes you dinner.

Now See, you're just trying to be provocative.

You know damn well none of your weapons have ever charged themselves and got up taken position and discharged on a target all on there own.

The question ought to be, how to detect and dispose of all the fucked up humans.

Mass shootings are just getting more common. The answer is not in doing nothing. Something has to be done.

We could pass out more guns to see if that would solve the problem. Or we could do nothing. Neither of those will work, in my opinion.

Actually more guns might work. Make it mandatory for everyone to carry. If you don't carry and try to protect yourself then you don't get any police help.
