I was given 2 of these I would like to hear from anyone who has swapped the blurple chips for cobs or strips utilizing the vipar heatsinks & drivers

Im not sure what would be the point? It isnt that hard or expensive to get a new solution which doesnt force you to adapt to vipars foot print and use their (i suppose...) dodgy drivers. You might have maybe 100$ of useable parts on both those lights.I was given 2 of these I would like to hear from anyone who has swapped the blurple chips for cobs or strips utilizing the vipar heatsinks & drivers
The heatsinks and fans for sure for sure.Im not sure what would be the point? It isnt that hard or expensive to get a new solution which doesnt force you to adapt to vipars foot print and use their (i suppose...) dodgy drivers. You might have maybe 100$ of useable parts on both those lights.
Not totally useless. That would run an old style 100V board at 80ish wattspulled it apart & it looks like the 5 drivers are gonna be useless maybe but heatsink is a good one ,fans & housing adaptable to a few options View attachment 4442144
Each one has a 12v. Plug to run the fans I'm wanting to use the housing , fans & heatsink to run about 350w of cobs for one of my 3x3 tents that right now has a 200w. CLW ss-275 its a bit shy of what I'm wanting the other 3x3 I'm running has 340w. 6 cob light & works good 400w. of cob not out of the question like timber 4-veroNot totally useless. The housing is pointless. Our goal with LEDs is to SSSPPPPRREEEEAAADD the light across out canopy as much as possible. Like a strip build. Each one has a 12v.
