Yes its no different then getting 5 on a 4x8 table or area. Im just not quite sure what your trying to rub in? You don't have to play me for an idiot bro. You really don't think some people know what a high yielding strain looks like or what? Your garden is beautiful no doubt. But if we're talking about giving fucking head to people and cheating on my wife, don't through in some high yielding plants when the conversation was about something different. We know our plants here bro. Big time. Again awesome garden.
Relax it was just a joke. Dont take it so serious. Wasnt trying to get you upset. Sorry.

Please explain
i mean its easy to SAY on the internet your pulling 2.5 per lamp or hitting 2gpw with led but pics are worth a thousand words.i do this shit for 40 to 50 hours a week with prob somewhere over 200 strains in the last few years so i kinda know what a plant looks like live on the vine and what it will weigh at the point of sale.im tired of every swingin dick with a smartphone and a cfl claiming these numbers with no skin in the game or worse yet no grows obnline to back it up.

its a simple question but i think its waaaay off track.have any diy cob growers finished a crop under de lamps ?
@BM9AGS i like your explaination of intensity in the new thread.it spells it out clearly. ppf @ 12 in and @ 36 or 48 in is very dif and cobs just aint there yet on super tall plants.i try to keep my plants in the 5 x 5 x 5h range and the trimmable buds do extend damn near to the dirt, very little larf.im not sure these cobs will grow these types of buds in my setup, but im not far from finding out now that i have a few bars hung.

You said it right there. And I quote "in my setup". LEDs are not for every type of grow just as DEs are not good for every type of grow.

I could never run a DE in my grow area. Way to hot and to low of ceilings. So in my grow area LEDs would kick the hell out of DEs.

All the DE'S kick ass. They all do 2 + units a light with a pretty short veg time and I'm speaking of small yielding cuts. It really is unreal. I was skeptical till I ran the word on the streets worst DE. Its breath taking to get more then a pound of 500 watts.
Im not a great grower, but I got 16.8 oz from 376 watts of cobs in a 2x4 tent.
I cant compare to ACDE as I have never used them, just 600 and 1000 Eye Hortilux with Raptor hoods, and got much less than half the GPW I gor with cobs.
I was my first crop with cobs and the small tent.
I am doing my next run with this tent to see if it was a one hit wonder/lucky grow

I'm betting not. COB LED really is that much better. The one change of adding them to my grow pushed up my personal best single plant yield by over 20%, and that was with some significant problems during the run. As many other variables as possible were kept constant, including equipment, space, climate control and even wattage delivered to the space.

Gotta grow log man? I'd like to look through it to see what I can improve for myself.

I ran 4 plants in 2 totes, each plant saw maybe 6 gallons. One tote was Killawatt, the other was Sannies Jack. The Killawatt yielded 8.5 oz between the 2, and the Jack about 8.3oz
This including the bottom buds as they were solid enough to trim and no go to hash like most runs were for me with hps.
I used a scrog with this gow, and this is my first time employing this, and is why (I think) there was no larf.

This was a great grow, the temps were right, no bugs or stress. Lots of variables worked together for me.

No grow log sorry.
I dont consider myself a very good grower, and dont want to publicly show off a bad grow.
This time it would have been a great idea though, but I had so many new things in play that grow I didnt really expect a great turnout.
I could dig up some pics though

This is one of the few comparisons I've seen that made me consider the switch to LED. The higher cannabinoid and terpene profiles with similar yields at a little over half the energy cost makes me curious to try it. From what I've read, the cob lights are better than the Apache LED so maybe it's worth running a DIY cob on my next grow.

Having run COB LED for over six months now, I'd heartily encourage you to give it a go.

Good to hear. Have you seen a big difference in over all density and quality of flower with your set up? If I can pull the same yield with better quality on less total watts its worth it to me.

Why would you want to save a few measly watts when the prospect of MOAR YIELDS is the alternative? Never ceases to amaze me. Power isn't nearly as precious as pounds, bro!

Yes, better quality, denser nugs, in my experience also shorter flowering time.

Good point. I'll look in to seeing how much Cob I can run in my space. Thanks for the tip

It may be the answer but some just don't want to accept it and look for another one... Because they used their money for the wrong light for their situation... No one want to look dumb. I hope my results will show a great side by side in the same environment.
I'm not afraid of looking stupid in the service of learning something. In fact, that's my standard MO.
