It's true. I've been surprised lately though by family and friends, now that they know more about my own involvement in this area.
My grandfather has cancer and a fracture in his spine and he took mmj the first we offered it to him, no questions asked. Since then his wife and his daughter have both requested mmj honey to help them relax and other extended family members are slowly, yet surely, warming up to the idea of mmj for medical purposes.

Unfortunately not everyone is so open minded, but I'm happy to finally see the stigma lifted with those I know on a personal level.
Would it be too personal to ask you age Oddish

it's even harder when it's family and there's nothing that can be said.....
Yes I have an aunt who could use some MMJ but she is too afraid to try it. I gave her some but she is too old school to take it.
She is almost not able to live alone anymore and I feel the MMJ would help her stay at home longer.
But my family is like Oddish's and too old school and paranoid from the Reefer Madness propaganda thats been feed them since Nixon ( the biggest criminal of all ) was in power

You are a very thoughtful and level headed Gentleman for a young fellow...congrats on those qualities.
I have to be level-headed and thoughtful in my day to day job. I have employees who depend on me, a family that requires my income and more than one company that expects the world of me. Don't really have the option of joining the rest of my generation in laziness and half-assed efforts at everything.

I'm a product of the 90s...
I know a girl your age, that because of the bs attached to MMJ, she wouldn't even entertain the idea.
Even to try and say her life.
She is dying of Ewings sarcoma, she just turned 30 after 4 years of fighting this horrid disease.

She is dying of Ewings sarcoma at the age of 30 which she just turned 30 after 4 years o fighting this horrid disease.
Oh for sure. I grew up with the "stoner crowd" of my generation. They all gave it up because their girlfriends said if they want to get serious they have to stop "doing drugs". Now they're all off in the real world running farms and living the life without mmj. Until everyone gets onboard it's a real uphill battle. My wife knows exactly what I use it for and what her dad uses it for and what her grandfather uses it for.. but she's still against the idea of it and wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Recently a member on here provided me some real stink so I've been hearing all about how the workshop and the laundry room smell like drugs and what will everyone think, etc.

Yep the old school attitude on MJ is still very pervasive and by no means faded away quite enough yet.

it doesnt agree with everyone... it can effect people in many ways and some..Its just not for them!
My wife is most afraid of becoming paranoid. She has this idea that if she has honey or any other extract it will cause her to become paranoid until she's no longer "high". Not much I can do to convince her that is 100% not going to happen...

that's exactly what I'm referring to :)
It can bring on anxiety in people..make them feel nauseous and dizzy.
Not the same thing we feel at all.

EATING is what helps with those type feelings...
that or
SEX
;)

good luck with that lol

My mother is 74...she is the oldest of 13 children...her brothers used to smoke my father up when we went camping and visiting grandma in the summer....yet I haven't told her because sometimes she tells me about how my uncles are "living" in that judgemental tone and I just want to tell her to open her mind....

Best of luck... closed minded people tend to stay that way.
The only reason my whole family jumped ship so quickly was because some dumbass doctor (incorrectly) stated that my grandfather had 6 weeks left to live. At that point there was no downside to mmj.

That was 20 weeks ago and he hasn't even started treatment yet - ends up that doctor was entirely wrong.

If she isn't ill and doesn't need it I would let it be. My attitude has always been to never force, cajole, urge, prod or even pressure anyone to have anything to do with MJ.
I've been with folks who I could tell wanted me to " convince " them to try some....nope I don't go there. I've noticed they are surprised by that attitude and usually seem a bit confused I'm not more pro try it.
I laugh and tell them " well more for me "
I DO not want that responsibility.
My exception is someone who is sick and could maybe benefit by MMJ.
Otherwise I could give a crap who does or doesn't use the product.
