Guys if Nobody submits any comments before the deadline, then why blame HC for just barging ahead as they please. Everyone who has an issue with this or anything else should send in their comments and cc their local MP or party of choice.

Make your comments to the point succinct and voice your objections I'm an unequivocal manner. If they are ignored then take the people to account during the next election.

Somehow, someway...HC is acting 2 steps ahead, while majority are fighting for MMAR patients and our rights nobody is backing the smaller group of LP patients.

There are going to be many many LPs fail.

^ that doesn't confirm anything. It's just a number they chose, just like they chose 51 and 61 the first time and told some people 70 the time after that.

That said, LPs will fail because people think this system is a gold rush and they can just hop on and collect their nuggets. That's not the case. It does take some skill, business knowledge, connections and understanding of the market to make it work.

Still waiting on those blasted small LPs to get approved :)

So this is the email I sent to HC.

It has come to my attention, that Health Canada intends to release my personal and confidential medical files relating to the MMAR, to the appropriate College of Physicians and Surgeons. Please be advised that you DO NOT HAVE MY AUTHORIZATION to release my personal and confidential medical files or anything relating to my participation in the MMAR. Release of any such information will result in litigation.

Why do they keep using 50 as their base of all calculations even with 1000 applicants?

I believe they are using 50 because it's easy math :)
But in all seriousness, I just think it's a ballpark estimate. Of the 1000 applicants many (many many) of them have been returned or are in the process of going through what I call "the rejection cycle" where they take you down a road you can't return from.

The only thing the 50 means to me is that they still intend to get approvals going again.

All that said, I want it to be 50. I really do. I think 50 is a great number, a fair number and a reasonable decision.

Because secretly they know that's all their going to licence. I'm thinking maybe 35 big guys and 15 little ones. Do you honestly think they haven't set some limit? Look at the nightmare unfolding in front of them now with all those applications. It is interesting that 50 isn't some number that just came up...it's been kicking around for about a year now.

Wow I'm not fan of the LP's but this gov is royally screwing them right after giving them a license and letting them spend all that time and money to set up their businesses. Hopefully investors outside of Canada will realize how toxic the Harper gov is.
I have been trying to get accross to the American investors of Tweed that this is a forced system upon threat of arest of a failed Government program, but all I get are these idiots that believe the HC numbers of 400,000 patients and are setting up the business to grow 1.5 million grams a year, this is absurd, they have no Idea about the Canadian Medical Cannabis program, the stock has be down from $4.65 a share on the first day of Business to $2.65 and only been over 3 a couple of days yet everyday they come on the site and start yelling $10.00-$20.00 a share by Aug no matter what artical or court case I put infront of them. Tweed has shipped max 10 days in the last 3 months and they are expecting Revinue in the millions WTF. they will all loss there shirts when the MMPR is ruled unconstitutional.

I have send my concerns many times to get the same stupit Health and safety response, they just went and pushed through their bias Commercial Weed Crap and now they are going to violate the Doctor/Patient privicy laws. This Commercial system will only last until a Judge see's the Laws that HC and the MMPR are breaking.

They make their own laws up as they go.... and those new laws end up having to be fought which certainly adds to the bs.

That's their plan!!!!!!
To make things so fucked up, that only 'one' decision will stand as a result in the end !!!

So true, they're making things up as they go, because they never intended for this program to be challenged as much as it has been. Fight the good fight folks, no support for these commercial government controlled ops and the rules they make up on the fly = eventual death of the program. At least the previous program had SOME respect for patients. This one is clearly a money and power grab, nothing else, on the backs of those who need it most and can afford it the least $%^!

No kidding. I wish the government was as quick to amend regulations and act as quickly in all other avenues. Talk about getting shit done! Seriously though, any person with common sense, let alone a judge would scratch their head at how regulations are being bent and even changed to suit the LP's "on the fly". All it does is add to the absurdity of it all. You'd swear we were dealing with the petroleum industry with how often they bend the rules and self regulate themselves to suit their own interests.

I watched Fifth Estate yesterday....it was a repeat....they were discussing how the Harptler government has essentially wiped out any research into things like environmental pollutants etc etc. The funny thing about it (well not really funny) was how the petroleum industry basically rewrote the regulations so that they would be more "economically" friendly. That right there speaks volumes about what this government is all about. I just want to puke when I see that mofo talking about how good they've done for the country when they really should be talking about how well they've done for themselves and their business buddies.

I agree with you brother. Watching that garbage called Harptler makes me sick and I usually leave the room or turn him off. I'm so disgusted with that SOB. I hope he get's sick...real sick. I consider him a traitor of this country and a reason for revolt.
