Thanks but "bang for my buck" as in I'm a cheap ass. Lol cool lights but I'm also looking for something full spectrum

The MarsHydro 300 is actually a 132 Watt light. If you looking to get better coverage and closer to that 300 Watt you looking for you will need the MarsHydro 900 which puts out 390 Watts of light. It;s also over prices for the quality at $360 on Amazon. You better off going with COB's which are better quality lights and last allot longer.

And how many hours of growing under MarsHydro 300's do you have? Let me guess Z....E....R...O. It's easy for guys to talk shit about something they have no first hand experience about. Or maybe you have grown under a Mars 300 and you had bad results due to being a bad grower.

While I now run Cree and Luminius COB fixtures I have grown countless plants under MArsHydro 300's granted the original 180w version. And I can tell you they are from from shit lights.

Here is a couple of pics....Mephisto Sour Crack........64/65 days from sprout to chop....190grams dry(6.7oz). She is the unoffical strain record. Second is a Bomb Seed Cherry Bomb....she was 225 grams dry. Third plant was a Mephisto Grape Crinkle...71 days sprout to chop 353 grams dry(12.47oz). She was under 1 Mars 300(174w at the wall) and a 100w Cree cxb3590 fixture.

SO yah Mars are shit....being I have pulled more grams per watt with them than a lot of HID growers get with 1,000w of HID.


Sure the OP asked about a full spectrum light but I am sure they are just looking for a single fixture that they can go from seed to jar with and for a 2x2 space a MarsHydro 300, even the current 135w version would suit their needs very well.

I don't have the space for a COB setup. Low ceiling and small 2x2 floor area. I wanted full spectrum so i can use one light seed to jar yes. I know LEDs are still a very controversial thing but for now this is kindve a budget grow.

You have figured out how to not waste light by using a small tent with the unit. this helps a lot. The problem is there is no free meals when it comes to production. micromoles worth of light is equal to a set amount of grammes, (roughly 1 gramme to 1 um). The Mars units use old epistar LEDs that put out about 0.7um/W. Top of the range LEDs are now doing 1.7, which is the same as the 315W CMH units.

If you have it and know how to use them, by all means, wait and see how far the market develops. But if you are buying new, I don't think it is a good pick.

...uhhh .....and did you miss where the OP is growing in a little 2x2 space? Those plants rock because I know how to grow, how to listen to my set up and because those little cheap MarsHydro 300 fixture work very well for the money. I am well aware of what the Mars fixture use for diodes.

A crappy grower will always grow crappy no matter how much money they spend on their set up.

Being that you avoided my simple question of how many growing hours you have under Mars300's tells me you have ZERO experience and are just spitting bullshit about a product you know nothing about. It's people like you that really bring nothing useful to the forums.

I've used box LEDs. Galaxy Hydro brand. Both 300watt 9 band. They'll work but the B.S. about the advertised wattage really causes an itch. Don't get them close enough and the bud will be fluffy and airy. Turns to dust in a grinder and has no weight.

I spent $200 bucks on those lights. My first LEDs... The pi$$ off comes from thinking if I had just went with COBs first. I'd be $200 richer. Now I have two shelf decorations.
