Hi guys
my 2 week old plants have 4 leaves on top, they are 20 cm tall, but now they are all laying down because of the leave on top are to heavy, they are only on water at moment, in rock wall under floro light (18 hours on 6 hours off) the stems dont look very thick to support weight... what do i do and am i doing anything wrong...

sounds like your plants stretched due to lack of light. Either get stronger flouros, and/or put them closer to the plants(within a couple of inches).

this is what you need to do..... (if you have enough space) add some of your same potting mix to your pot so that the soil is most of the way up to your leaves, if you dont have the space in your current pot, Id suggest gettin some new ones and doing that... otherwise you will most likely have to prop them up on something for the rest of their lives:cry:

and I dont think that YOU would enjoy being tied to a light-pole for your entire life, so lets get some more soil in there and then start fresh w/ more fluoros that are only 2IN away from your little girls........ and a fan

Actually I beg to differ. I dont know if burying your plants up their stalk is such a good idea. I believe the base of the stem is also part of the respiratory system of the plant. I seem to remember from transplanting experience that thickly covering the top of the root ball will shock and possibly choke your plant out.

sorry then, I could be wrong..... only because I was told that by someone else, but hey, lets not get into all that, fuckit, tie it to a piece of wood or something then... it will work.

you know what, Ive heard to do that NUMEROUS times and I never heard ANY negative feedback about it so, if someone w/ more experience would answer that, that would be great because I would like to know.

k man you've streched you're plant... only hope is to bury it untill it can stand on its own.. then toss a fan in ur grow room so the stem can strengthen... how can u choke out a plant.. when it feeds and drinks.. and breaths from the roots... so bury it untill it stands be gentle or you will send it into shock.... and when it stands up straight get a fan and pester it a bit... move it with ur finger... its like us working out the more we lift the stronger we get... the more they are disturbed the stronger they get...

that depends, are you in the flowering stage?? if you are then you could let it get a little cooler in the room during the dark period....

and during the last 2 or three days of flowering you could cut the lights out completely, this makes the plant get colder and it will use its defense mechanism (resin) to protect itself from the cold.. other than that, possibly some sugar daddy???

both propping plants up and using soil to support them can be used. You don't have to tie a 8" plant top a light pole, a simple skewer will do. If that were valid the plant would walk away for the roots cause it didn't want to be tied down. The fan will strengthen the stem and you can remove the skewer.
If you put more soil aroungd it to prop it up don't pack it tight leave it loose. It will spread out a litlle when you water it anyway, and you'll be right back to were you started except the stemm will be a little older and stronger.
Make sure you keep your light close enough so these plants don't have to stretch again

graf what would u do to increase youre resin on ur plant and is a 70 watt hps bigg enough for my 4 foot plant
here is a good trick to getting Maximum resin out of ur plants... 2 days before you harvest... turn ur lights off... let them sit there in the dark for 2 days...they think there dieing... so they extract all the resin in there system... (to try and catch pollen from male plants) which we wont let them get... and when u cut them down.. they will have every last drop of resin showin hopfully... then dry them in the dark.. you want as little light on ur plants when drying... something to do with Light lowering thc levels or something.

Graf - np buddy... fuck i love ur dog haha.. such a good lookin pitbull and i see he is ur guard dog ;) haha

Yes I should have specified. Dont pack the soil around the stem leave it as a loose mound and the soil will still aerate.

Yeah I had a similar problem with my young girls, and I just *lightly* tied them to a pencil or a chopstick with some dental floss. They did very well and after a few weeks I was able to remove the support and they stood up on their own.
