help!!!

ok i put one of my seeds in the soil today..got two cfls about a inch away from the lil paper cup its in..the seed cracked and the root or whatever was out like a millimeter or two..so what i want to know is how many days should i expect to see a sprout???

around 5 but when they first sprout they dont need to be that close until they get bigger

how many inches away from the dirt shall i keep the light..got it lik 1-1 1/2 inch right now...too close??

1 1/2 -2 inches will be fine after there bigger but for not I would keep them at about 3-4 for the first week IMO

is organic mix good for soil...its got peat moss,pearlite and composites...good for the plant or no???got some1 at walmart now so quick response would be greatly appreciated

i need answers..probly too late on the soil..but i got the organic stuff ...tell me if that will be ok...i also need to know what topping is..how to do it,and what it does for the plant..thanks to whoever helps out..would give pics but camera is acting up..so i'll give em when i can..setup slightly changed..got 1 cup of soil..one seed two cfl's on it..more planting coming to the closet when seeds sprout roots in paper towel...feedback please..anybody gonna help me out here?????????look at the post above to see what the soil has in it.(thats what im using when i transplant..

still need answers...plus am i supposed to put drainage hole in the cup for the first stage of growth or no???lots of questions..somebody pls help me out here

like you tried to say on my thread. drainage holes are necessary. organics are never really good for seedlings but since you already bought it you should be fine. just dont overwater.

Organic Soil is fine try and get what I told you before..
It's not to late for soil make sure you get some

Yes you always need a drainage hole

Topping I would not worry about at the moment and it is in the grow faqs if you want to learn how it just to keep control of the height and to make it more bushy.

topping is used for cases where you have limited vertical room and need the plant to bush out more than grow up.

the easiest way i can show you is to imagine the plant like this \l/ where you have 2 branches in the main stem.

you top and are left with \ / and the main grow sites are the 2 top most branches.

I wouldnt worry about it too much, if you know your strain you have an idea of height tendencies. If you do top it streches the veg stage because the plant has to go thru a large adjustment.

so for now , i dont think it should be a concern for you...what strain do you have?

im soooo goddamn impatient..we're on day 2 and no sprouts but its still to soon..i really cant wait to see somethin pop out the fuckin dirt..patience is def. a virtue that i dont have..but we'll see what happens soon enough.

ok..i have a little bit of a problem...i have 1 seed in a cup of backyard soil which i cleaned and sterilized which is under 2 cfls about 3 inches away..i have 4 more seeds..3 popped and 1 hasnt(yet)....heres the problem..i got some pretty good organic soil at my girls house(organic stuff with pearlite and shit like that)and i cant get it until saturday,and the seeds in the napkin will be ready by 1 or 2 days and i dont want to leave for to long cuz i dont know what will happen,and i dont want no more backyard soil involved in this greow ..so is there somethin i can do cuz im stumped...feedback please

Did the one you used backyard soil on already sprout? You should take a couple pics of the seeds your germinating and I can tell you how much longer it would be safe to keep them there without planting. you dont want the root to fully leave the seed. If shes ur girl make her bring it to you wear the pants homie.

haha..i got a nice laugh out of that..i would do that but she dont have a car..and nope it did not sprout out of the backyard soil..but this is only day two..(should it be by now)..my camera is bein stupid but itll be back in a couple days..but the longest root in the paper towel is 2 millimeters at the most ..what you think?
