Home Made co2 for Grow box

ok so i just made a mixture of 3/4 cup of sugar 1 teaspoon of dry yeast and 5 cups of warm water in a bottle and put a hole in the cap and put it on..

if i put this bottle in my small 1 metre sq foot grow box will this produce more co2 for the plants?

i want a cheap easy way to create co2 =]

Those are a couple of interesting links...I'm curious about the co2 levels created by this? The tank and timer method will cost me just over $100 and a tank is $170 with $25 refill. The tank will last about 170 days with a 7 foot by 11 foot room.

I actually tried 1/2 the recipe that "firsttimegrowing" used, and my CO2 within my 1.5 ft L x 1.5ft w x 2ft h rose to 300-350 ppm (and keeping steady) according to my CO2 monitor, so yes, it does work. I will try with more when i transfer my sprouts to my larger 5 cubic ft veg box. I will probably try 10x the amount in my veg box.

BTW, my initial CO2 ppm in my sprout box was 450pp on average, so it rose to about 800 ppm.
