If you are in soil, it is getting nutes from there. This plant is looking good so far.
Yea that one is doing the best..look at this one, its grown this much since topped 2 weeks ago. its got a layer of FFOF on the bottom and the rest filled with Mother Earth Groundswell...do you think adding a layer of FFOF on top could damage this

Top dress with FF as much as you want, she will grow more roots and FF has nutes.

Feel em. Are they light?
I will here in a bit, I'm sure they are because they're only 2 gallon pots.. wonder if I'm gonna have to get bigger pots eventually..the 2nd one I planted is catching up to the first one, looks so healthy I'm hoping they all make it but the first one has pretty bad leaf miner damage on 4 fan leaves

absolutely bigger pots will help. I suggest the biggest pot you can afford. Trust me on this one, bigger pots will make a world of difference...

As far as Mother Nature, “rig something”…to quote Richard Dreyfuss saying to Robert Shaw in Jaws.

If a lot of rain is expected, rig something to keep rain outta the soil. If sun, dig a hole and secure a well-placed cheap umbrella or other sunshade. Burlap cloth makes a good & cheap sunshade. If wind, a piece of plywood held in place with some rebar driven into the ground, or a wheelbarrow with some shit in it. It’s surprising what your brain can come up with. But think safety first.
