I've been doing research on various laws around America and Alaska seems pretty chill and legal. But is it really?
Or is the law and police really strict over up there.

The legal term is 24 or more is a problem. They throw you off with that 24 number. Just as I learned with .08 and DUI. .08 is NOT the legal limit. The legal text states: a blood alcohol concentration of .08 OR MORE is a dui.Not strict but not legal. The rumor about 24 or less plants is horse poop as far as I can tell. However, less than 1/4 pound usually results in no charges. Depends on the DA. The DEA avoids AK due to no dispensaries.
It is confusing. In Ravin v State, the issue was really privacy. The SC said that the legislative branch needed to make up the exact amounts. But then HB 149 came along in 2006. I see lots of claims about amounts and plant numbers - even from NORML - but I have yet to see any reference to actual law. The closest I've ever found is this: http://www.legis.state.ak.us/basis/get_bill_text.asp?hsid=HB0149H&session=24Not strict but not legal.
