How much $$$ have you spent on grow equipment?

I love them.

Other than the ease of dry and curing they're so great because they never over dry the buds and ruin the terpens or trichomes. I would put 5 months into growing great plants then fuck it up royally on the dry and cure, having a kilogram of bud smelling like hay.

No more!

These things are expensive but if you have the bucks and have had trouble drying and curing your bud I recommend them biggly!

.

I use the factory presets, 68 and 54. Seems to work great. Last harvest I dropped the dew point to 53.7 to dry the bud out a bit, worked great too.

.
does it stay at 68/54 the entire dry/cure cycle?

The dry starts out 68/54; the cure stage goes 68/52 - on a slope, it goes down by 0.1 at a time; The Hold stage goes 68/54.

You can change these numbers, I'm at 68/53.7 for the dry and 58/53.7 for the hold. Comes out a little dryer.

I have two 2x4 tents, one with a Phantom Pheno LED, the other with old Mars Hydro LEDs. The flower tent is ventilated by a 8" duct fan, and I run everything on an aquarium timer. Mostly doing DWC and RDWC, and I have a TDS meter and a pH meter. I've probably put $2000 into this setup and I get decent results... usually 1-2lbs per grow.

First off, I would never post a post like this on my own but you asked soooo...........

About $12-13k on my room.
8'x8' Sealed room with 4'x8' grow area.

Equipment:
-Trolmaster control/surveillance system.
-Bottled CO²
-Auto-Watering System
-3× Spiderfarmer SF 4000 lights
-Quest Dehumidifier
-15k BTU Air Conditioner
-PAR Meter (A must have)

It doesn't seem like much for what I spent but the AC, Dehumidifier & Trolmaster system were about $7k. And there were lots of other costs like small equipment such as pots, ph pens, flood tables, wall coverings and building the room with 2x4 construction, drywall, and sealing it all up. It all adds up and I think to buy everything today could run north of $15k canadian.

After I built the room my first crop was 8 plants and I got almost 6lbs. Then I switched to a living soil blend in 4x 20 gallon pots and my last crop was 3.7lbs and this crop also had my first 1lb indoor plant ever weighing in at 512grams trimmed and cured. Since switching to living soil, I only add un-ph'ed tap water once a week and thats about it. No food, no teas, nothing. Simplest system ever.

First grow. Just under 6lbs.

To say the least this grow room has been worth every penny.

As a good friend once asked me after the first year it was made legal for this area...
"So are you getting plenty of free weed yet?"
He was laughing heartily then too because he knew.
Saving a little money for the quality and quantity you produce helps take a little of the sting away, but that's all...
That said I've run over 90 chiminilly blurples through these doors (forget the florescents & HID lights from years gone by) and I was running less than a dozen blurples at a time back several years ago - now, there's around 40 HLG panels down there now and several other asian or DIY fixtures also, 4-5 heaters, a few dehueys and I built the contactor/ controller for the heavy current and dropped a few 20 amp breakers plus about 8 HVAC fans and I'm still waiting for some of that free weed instead of the electricians bill...

I have a small setup, but reasonably decent mid to upper tier consumer grade things (HLG lights, AC Infinity controllers, fans, etc., Inkbird, bluelab and all). Probably have about 4-5 grand total up front in the first year. Since then I have not spent much per year beyond water filter cartridges, new carbon filters every couple years, replacement nutrients, etc. Probably 200 or less per year.

Crazy high numbers here...
For my vivosun 3x3, i have a homemade 320w two panel diablo board setup, 6" s&p silent with a 6x12 carbon filter from foothill filters, and an inkbird humidity/temp controller. All in on that single setup i am into it for about a grand.
Average results in there is just under an lb per grow which exceeds my personal consumption by a lot
