Ok so I'm taking down the tinfoil off my grow room walls (didn't know..now I do) and painting them flat white, and my sis in law shows up with these...things...and asks if I can save them!!!??? Well I didn't wana say "WTF did you do!!!" So I told her we could try.

Well this is "How not to grow a plant" 101...
1) Do not start your beans in 3gal pots, unless you know what you're doing!! (put them in a 16oz beer cup)
2) DO NOT start them in the strongest MG soil you can find, and then don't mix MG perlite in with your babies it has nutes too!! (No nute potting soil and don't pack it)
3) NEVER & I MEAN NEVER brag that you're gona grow better plants!!!

This is what I'm talking about...Death by MG soil nute burn (I'm not putting down MG soil in any way, but it's not for babies)...

Murder by Nute Burn.JPG Come on give me your honest opinion, do they have a chance??...lol...I repotted them in this soil and nothing else, tried to get the excess MG soil out but...

they have a chance. They actually don't look half bad. just keep giving them ph'd water and you might want to transplant into a container were you can bury the plant up to the bottom leaves. the main stem will grow roots if you bury it. this will promote a stronger root system for the healthy foliage.

lol, well I'm a n00b and not sure if I can save em..lol.. and all I did was repot into a smaller contaianer with fresh soil & watered them, their poor roots weren't even as big as my fist..Just cuz my babies look really nice, and she found me on RIU she thinks I'm a grower and can wave my wand or something..lol..I hope I can will see.

Yes, definitely hope for them - just remove them from the Miracle Gro asap, put them in fresh soil and slowly nurse them back to health as mentioned. Don't do anything drastic with nutes whatsoever unless a deficiency is quite apparent, or your pH shifted enough that you've locked out nutes.. at least until it's normal-ish again.

Are they retarded or something? nutes in perlite? Do they even associate with gardeners?
Actually.. the Scotts Miracle Gro Perlite is enhanced with Miracle Gro nutes, depending on the bag you grab... so it's quite possible, depending on the type.

Vermiculite makes the soil soggy and slow to dry out. I wouldn't add it to soil. I've used mg perlite and there were no nutes in it. It's odd that yours does.

4pH-6pH-8pH is far too broad of a guide.
4pH could block nutrient uptake just like 8pH could block nutrient uptake.

You want it around 7

Good advice, I was just looking at some...it's like sand almost, nasty. Yeah I live in a rural area and they don't carry shit at our Lowes, Homedepot or Walmart except this...
