I have a 600W HPS & MH ballast kit, could I use a 400W MH bulb on it? Would it work?

C cruzer101 Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2009 #2 I used a 400W MH bulb on a 1000W MH ballast before. It worked but I was using 1000 watts of power to run a 400w bulb so I didnt do it for long. Why would you want to, veg with the 600W hps. It will work just as well.
