Last trip I went to my local plant store I saw this new "UFO" super high output LED grow light. This thing was just as bright as a hps and it was way more efficient. It uses 90 watts and puts out just was much as a 400 watt hps and is cool to touch without a ballast.

Anyone use these? I was told they were going to take over in the future, is this true? These have red and blue LED's that make a purple light there will be all blue and all red soon and I was thinking of using those. Should I get rid of my trusty HPS and go with the new school LED?

This is it on Ebay : LED UFO GROW LIGHT L.E.D. BLUE/RED =400 Sodium Halide w - eBay (item 160206640850 end time Feb-14-08 12:57:06 PST)

500 bux? lol

i personally wouldnt pay 500 bux for an led setup..... for 500 bux, if u have the time, u can bulild a way bigger led setup, prolly like 10 of those things.

to me thats a huge waste of money.

just my opinion though

They are actually $600. They actually save money and pay for themselves. Remember they only use 90 watts. Your electric bill will drop with these. . . . .
