Humidifier stays off even when timer starts giving it power.

Wasn't sure where to post this. But i bought a small humidifier that i want to only be on while lights are on. So i connected to a timer set to my light schedule. But the humidifier doesn't turn back on when the power come back. Anyone know how to get the humidifier to automatically turn on once the timers gives it power?

No sry i didn't exactly know how to word the question. But the timer works, the humidifier resets itself to off once timer stops giving it power. It just i have to turn back on the humidifier once it starts getting power again. Lets say the humidifier is on and you unplug then plug back in the humidifiers power cord, it would stay off until i press the on button. But like most everything in my garden i want this automated

I like the sound of bypassing the on off switch, but not so much the fire. But I have built 5+ led lights so wiring and electricity isn't totally foreign.

I'm trying to follow this. So Kenny you run a humidifier when lights are off and then a dehumidifier when lights are on?
Does your RH fluctuate that much?

Na the goal is to have it the other way around. Humidifier on only with lights, dehumidifier comes on when lights go off. But right now I still have humidifier set with lights timer, dehumidifier always on set at 75%. I plan on dropping humidity to ~60% later in flower.

I see. Does your RH go up that much when dark you need a dehumidifier? RH seems to drop when the lights are off.
I,m in late flowering trying to keep my grow room RH at 55% with the RH outside at 93%. And rain. And I still haven't dried out from the flooding two weeks ago so my dehumidifier runs all the time.

Depending on your night time temps you might be able to let the humidity raise a little more. But I'm growing with LEDs so only if you use LEDs maybe. But after a hard defoliation I'm sitting at 55% humidity at night.

Wow, that is a big swing. It is a good RH for flowering though.
