Humidity, how to raise it, cheap without spending a lot of money?

I grow mainly all indicas, some hybrids too. They are tolerant but the higher your temps the more humidity they need regardless, in my opinion. Generally your temps are good. In veg 40% humidity is what I go for. In flowering I try to read the plants.

Dropped down to one 1000w light MH @ 18/6 instead of 24/0

Temp: 76 (1 degree drop after 1 min of decreasing light)
Humidity: 45% (6% increase after 1 min of decreasing light)

Amazing! Although you have had a stroke of luck at this point. Don't mistake it for a fix. Seal that space up, it will only become more efficient.

Yea bro really you could bunch those up and use a 600watt easily , to vegg and then spread em a little to flower using a 1000.

Absolutely, beat me to it. I find that 600's weather MH or HPS give me the best bang for the buck. In flower for that amount of plants I would still use two HPS 600's. 2 1000's is a lot of dam light and a lot of dam heat. I know I just opened another can worms there and more comments are to follow but again just my opinion.

Don't mist your plants everyday, your going to ill them. Don't worry about humidity. Growing roots is more important. Once you can afford a decent digital humidifier then get one theres no real way around it. If you cant then don't sweat it.

eh i could, im just cheap, i could spare a few dollars, but last time i had a humidifier it ran out of water in like 3 hours and im pretty sure it didnt boost it that much, or my hygrometer is broke.
I've had bad luck with hygrometers. I bought four, did the salt test on them. None read correctly or agreed with each other. The brand known as Caliber IV is accurate and reasonably priced. It has always been my experience that with a bunch of plants in a grow tent, low humidity was never a problem. High humidity was the problem.

Will do, already bought the gear, to get it setup for next week.

i mean, i have 2 1000w lamps, 600 is out of the question.

yeah i appreciate it, its been about 5 years since my last grow, things have changed, i grew in a state where i never had to worry about it being dry, it was always humid, i also grew soil, this is my first hydro gro, seems pretty simple.

2000 may be too much man, that's a bunch of heat. I have a 10 x10 and im borderline temps with 5 girls. but im in 15 gal. pots. ya shouldn't have a veg and flower in the same light cycle

Who said anything about having the same light cycle for veg and flowering, that is ignorant.

I have one that looks similar, it has the "swoosh" on the front, but its all white. It failed the salt test. This :> http://www.ebay.com/itm/Caliber-III-Digital-Hygrometer-Temperature-Gauge-/151555093358?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item234963336e was the only one that passed. Its small enough that it fits into a Mason jar so you can use it to monitor your cure. The magnet is strong enough that you don't need to use the adhesive to stick it to a metal tent pole. Had them 2 years and they're still working on the original batteries. They should send me a check for this

yes. straight up. by far.

your plants have to rest.

24/0 for flower? how's that even possible? there is no signal to flower.
who said anything about flower? i am still in veg

in the orginal post, i say, "for my veg state" lol not sure who got that mixed up with flowering, 24/0 is impossible, wont even trigger flowering lol

I run 3600 watts 24/0 on my germinated plants. They grow faster and then I even mist my plants under those 3600 watts. Its not possible for water droplets to "magnify" the power of your lights and make your plants burn.

i turned both fans down to 1 speed and backed them up further from plants.
also i realized that misting them when lights are on, are a big no no.
In my old grow i never had this issue, but i realize the state i live in now is not such a good idea to do it.

i said a cheap way, i am in a pretty big room, a big humidifier is gonna cost a pretty penny
You can get humidifeirs all day long at Goodwill or The Salvation Army for $10 to $20 bucks if your on the skids & spending a $100 bill is too expensive .

Why are you pushing for 70% to 80% RH anyways ? An RH ratio of 80% is insane & seriously increases the risk of getting powdery mildew , mold & blight , you'd be better off shooting for a RH of 50 % to 60% , 80% is damm near turning the room into a clone chamber .

one light look very orange thought you had a flower going there too..people do the craziest things.

24/0..still too much plant needs to rest it grows quicker IMO.

that's not true..i've had droplet burn and i know others have too..must be hard to be so perfect everyday..how do you do it?

i'm surprised you stopped at 3600 and not made it an even 4000..that would just bug the SHIT out of me.

55% in veg even lower works for me
You say on the cheap to add humidity,I throw a bucket of water on the floor when I want 10% more from time to time
