Wal-mart has some good cheap black totes right now with silver snap up locks on the handles. They're on the tote itself that snap up over the lid. $20 for a 50gal. It's a big ol bitch. But thought I'd throw it out there if someone needs something like that. And it's low profile.
THIS is the tote I mentioned. This is how I get my r/o :) It takes about 2 days to fill it full. (50gals) one drop at a time.20160813_202520.jpg 20160813_202530.jpg 20160813_202541.jpg 20160813_202556.jpg 20160813_202617.jpg 20160813_202632.jpg

Fills 10- 5 gal jugs in 2 days. Then I move it out of the way. It's actually VERY convenient.
drop a small submersible pump in that bad boy & hide it some where with a float valve to fill
get a dedicated r/o unit build them cheaper than buy remember this is DIY stuff
my r/o fills a 55 everyday & all my waste H2o goes in garden not down a drain like yours does

I waste ZERO ro this way. It fills the tote and once it's full, I use the spout to fill my 10x 5 gallon jugs. It's really easy and it works well for me. Thanks though.

so that undersink unit's waste water is recycled by u & not draining down that sink drain as it';s a standard practice with under sink units to plumb them that way ??
look under yer sink y'll see what i mean

Bro I In stalled it myself. The ro comes out of that spout one drop at a time after the Initial gallon tank is drained. I installed a ball valve on the ro line, so that wouldn't happen

I think he's referring to the "waste water"
"Depending on the model, most RO filter systems* will discharge 4 to 20 gallons (15.1 L to 75.7 L) of backwash water for every gallon of filtered water it produces. This discharge water is commonly directed to the sewer drain line".

I see what you're saying. But I just put a valve on the line to stop the ro from pumping water through the filter when it doesn't need to be

Not sure if it was politics or california medical section, but he had posts about AUMA deleted, mentioned it here, and now that whole conversation is gone from this thread too.
