Hi all, I'm trying to design a setup that will not take up too much space since I have a very limited amount. Also I am trying not to spend more than a few hundred dollars. I'm thinking about doing something like this: www.ganjaland.com/closet. Possibly in an old fridge or a cabinet. I like the idea of having two different sections to the setup, one for growing and one for housing the mother plants. Does anyone have recommendations as to optimal setups. Also what type of lighting would you recommend for each stage so that I may maintain optimal growth without buying too many different lights. Also, any ideas as to what growing method would work best for this setup? I have been doing a lot of research on the SCRoG method since this seems to create the most output in the lest space. Would anyone disagree?

-Thanks in advance to anybody who can offer help!

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to burst your bubble, you are not going to set that up for a few hundred dollar, a thousand might get that started. Rollitup has a post that shows the same thing as a 'Basic Setup', check with him about the cost of making that cabinet. Or get a catalog and price it out.
I have a question for you, if I could show you how to grow 8 oz of bud from three female plants, for less than $100.00 to get you started would you be interested?? OpenDNS. com VV

SeeMoreBuds Has written a Book, Marijuana Buds For Less. He show you exactly how with pictures for every day of plants life, how he grew 8oz of bud from three female plants for less than $100.00. He shows how he set up the light, how he prepared the soil, what supplies to get, gives you lots of information about Cannibus in particular and the drug war in general. Garden Knowm is SeeMoreBuds. Several threads aboout the book and I looked at a journal yesterday from a guy that has duplicated what gk did.
There is a learning curve with growing. This book puts you ahead of the curve, doesn't break the bank, even has a section on cloning. I think there has been some objection to posting a link in our forum and to try and make sure we don't have any hassels the links won't work. Read what HotSexyMilf says about the book. Barnes and Nobles has it in the Gardening section. Best $16.95 you will spend. 3-6 months you can be crankin and not broke like I was. VV

SO break it down for us. How much space , where, etc. Do not expect us to go look at his plan and judge how you could make it bigger and better. BUDGET?? Or view things Like 60Plant setup, Al B Fucts How to get a harvest every two weeks is a must read for any one trying to set up a perpetual grow room. And he has recently made improvement which have resulted in a 50% increase in production, same numer of plants, and before he added cool tubes to 2-1000watt lights. Its at 3#'s a month now, might want to look at that one. I'm hoping he doesn't put in a co2 system before I can get to his old meager production of 13 - 16 oz every two weeks. Filthy fletch hold school on aero systems, Fdd plays around at 1# per plant, and that is just the F boys.
Ask your questions in thier threads, they will respond and visit your's. We are picture whores, we love pictures. Some folks have even posted pictures of empty rooms, its like 1000 words. And did I mention Pictures?? VV

Thanks VV i really appreciate you takin time to help with my situation...problem with pictures is that I'm not really sure where I'm gonna be living next year but when I figure it out I will definitely post pics of my empty space...but as of now I'm thinking a doing a stealth cab setup maybe in a cab 5-6' tall and 3-4' wide and 3-4' deep...but that is just an idea...I just bought SeeMoreBud's book on amazon like you told me and also Jorge Cervante's Grower's Bible so I'm sure I can get a lot more ideas from those books!

Until then if anyone has any new ideas for cab grows please share! Thanks everyone!

Multiply the book by four, and add small cloning area, harvest three plants every month for a twelve week flowering plant, every two weeks for 8 week flowering plants. I posted a build of a clone stand using pvc. It takes a little over 1' by 2' of space. As you move your first set of plants from vegging into flowering take two clones from each, be sure to mark which plant they came from. Get rid all males, usually about 1/2. Lets say you started six seeds, and 1/2 end up male. This would leave you with three flowering plants and six vegging female plants any where from 4 to 8 weeks behind them, Genetically ( Maturity) they will be the same. Take clones when you are ready to put them in flowering. Repeat if necessary.
Concentrate on getting the 7 basics 'in balance', trick plays are not needed, three point stance still has to be right first. Find the nearest hydro shop that you are comfortable doing business with, never mention your crop, compare thier advice with what you have learned. If it's a match or if they can explain why they feel differently listen to thier advice on nutrient packages. Then use that basic package to start with. Following the two guides you have, Jorge's and GK's will give you all of the other information you need and Al B is an invaluable source of information, as you have noticed.
The only thing you won't find from any of those sources is the efficiency of the t-5 lighting and led lighting. You have time to research those while you get things started. VV:blsmoke:

Thanks VV I really appreciate your help...do you think ScrOG would work with the continuous harvest to increase the yield in the small area?

Are you following GK's book too? VV
no I'm just starting to grow a few plants (5 plants under 210w of CFL light)I'm doing it by feel, my plant leafs where starting to curl because I was only running 60w CFL light so I bought a 42w CFL that puts out 150w and now my plants are doing alot better and have growen quite abit in half a week, the small plants are almost taller then the plant that was the tallest when I first got them
