They get the crack in paper towel after the scarification and then stall I have no idea why the temps stay between 25-30*C is this too hot? I know for sure they don't dry out aswell
Those temps are good, 25-28C would be better.

I know for sure they don't dry out aswell
Yet that's the only explanation as to why they closed and the tap root disappeared (embryo shrinks).

Weird man. But again I do agree with J.Mike. Specifically it's the difference between external (hard to crack or penetrate shell) and internal dormancy (conditions not ideal for it to pop). For example:

That said (and again this should not be done as a regular germination method, and removing half the shell or scarifying it will give the same results) the one I put in rockwool also seems to be doing fine, grown about a 1/4" tap root that would normally be outside the shell. If anything, there's no difference (with seeds that pop easy anyway), which is pretty much what I expected.

I have seeds pop like this within 48 hours which seems to be going very well but then within the next 12-24 they shrink back up, Iv tried putting 3 into soil at this stage and none do anything

I'm pissed myself, I'm in the same boat. I've been trying to germinate mine for what seems like a week now with no results. Never had a problem before now.

Exactly the same here, Iv grown multiple grows indoor and out with many strains and with seeds way older then I'm using now but for some reason I'm getting nothing using the same method I'd been having success with for years

Perhaps some bacteria in the water or in the air even that thrives around this time?

Here's the embryo I germinated in coco, the first one I damaged the cotyledon a little when opening. It'll definitely survive and the cotyledon still do their job (protecting the first shoot) quite well:

Other in rockwool is not up yet but plenty of taproot growth in side and will surely make it too.

I am trying the water glass technique this time since paper towels didn't do shit fore. Usually paper towels work great for me but we'll see if the water glass does the trick.

I blame myself this time, since I forgot about the seeds and left them in my garage for a few weeks while I was out of town. Fingers are crossed.
