I always start with half stength on any nute program until I am certain they can handle more..In My openion most companies are excessive in what they tell you to use...

But if at 600ppm as said above i would say it must be a lockout or overload of magnisium maybe???? DO YOU FLUSH REGULARLY?

I don't know if it is nute burn or what
You have toxic salt buildup that has locked out your plants and is now proceeding to burn them to a crisp.

Sorry, you totally did it wrong. I would clean out my grow area, take a deep breath, read some more, and try again.

better. now saving these plants is going to be very difficult process.this is severe nute burn always use 1/3 strength till the plant is ready for more. first you need to empty and clean your system hydrogen peroxide is best. refill with water and elevate pH to about 5.8-6.0 1/5 strength nutes. this will help the plant uptake more N and recover some of its green in order to preform photosynthesis. yellow leaves no photosynthesis. i would also move the light back a little because now is the time to chill and just hope they make a comeback just change your res. at 1/5 nutes for a couple weeks then add a little and slowly work your way back to full strength
Not worth all that trouble imo. He should throw those out and start over.

the guy has ROOT ROT, not salt buildup!!!
can't you see they are all brown and kinda slimy in the pics?

this is why the plant is a mess

give them a h2o2 bath, and treat them regularly with it as well. lower your res temps and add more air pumps.

You don't think root rot and toxic salt buildup can happen simultaneously? And brown roots don't automatically mean root rot.

Though the thread starter needs to verify, I would bet there's a good chance his brown roots don't feel slimy.

I looked at some of your grow journal. You had salt buildup, too.

I would be careful about barking things out like an expert when you're a beginner yourself.

that was a long time ago!
i am no expert
but i've noticed people tend to discuss much outside the point in riu
i remember this thread where the guy shows a bud so moldy i wouldn't touch it with a stick (and if you saw my journal you saw that i don't mind a bit of mold here and there), and people were arguing passionately over many pages whether it was salt buildup or harvest too early that caused his buds to be not very potent....

there are some pathogens mj can't really stand - pythium is one of them. It of course does not contradict or may even cause salt buildup for all i know - but it is definitely not the 'root of the problem' (haha). 400 ppm would certainly not cause such harsh symptoms. root rot would.

and please, if you have anything to say about my previous grow, do so. I would like to learn from someone who is an expert, as you seem to be.

i look at your thread, and see this:

i am having the same problem with my plants now - leaves twisting and becoming twisted - yet you seem to be ignoring it completely or at least not discussing it there. can you tell me anything about it?

What the hell are you talking about? I'm not having any "twisted leaf" problem. If I was having a "twisted leaf" problem, I would fix it. But since I'm not having a "twisted leaf" problem, I'd like to know what you percieve as a "twisted leaf" problem.

Let me see your "twisted leaf" problem and I'll tell you how you fucked up, noob.

Edit:
And where did you get 400ppm from?

And in his first post, he says the roots are still growing. I didn't know rotten roots grow. Maybe you know something all of us don't? Or maybe you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. I'm betting the latter.

Edit 2:
Hey, thread-starter! Don't listen to this noob. You don't have root rot.

i'm talking about the link i posted from you grow which links to a specific post with pictures of twisted top leaves. instead of facing each other, one of the leaves from the top node (like, the whole five finger) turns sideways, and the individual fingers become twisted. also, the top leaves (fingers) fold up a bit like a canoe, but not just the edges but the whole leaf like a notebook.

show me where it says rotten roots (to a certain degree) don't grow. Also show me where it says that roots are supposed to be brown.

Are you talking about the very first photos in my journal, ass-head? You mean these, ass-head?

Oh my god, look at those twisted leaves, ass-head.

That's how the clones came to me, ass-head. This is first planting, ass-head. They had been in my care all of thirty minutes at this point, ass-head. They're stressed sitting in a little block of rockwool waiting for a grower to pick them up and revive them, ass-head. The twisting, canoeing, and other deformities were the result of the clone being in a stressed environment prior to introducing into my system, ass-head. But as far as these 'clone stress' indicators are concerned, these specimens are of excellent health...ass-head. Any grower worth his/her salt already knows these basic facts when working with clones... But not you, ass-head. No, you go around shouting wrong advice without ever having worked with a clone, ass-head.

See what a retarded person you are, ass-head? You clearly have never worked with a cutting before, have you ass-head? You actually thought I started these from a seed and fucked up because that's all you know how to do, right ass-head?

If you use a nutrient brand that is brown in color, guess what color your roots are gonna be, ass-head?

Oh, BTW... In case you haven't noticed yet, your name is ass-head from now on.

i'm sure you're a charming person yourself.

from the looks of it, you are still having those problems right now. why don't you put some current pictures of your plants (from the top).

I don't see anything wrong with those leaves.
2 OP.......I would start over and read up and get a MH bulb for veg.

does that look normal to you?
i'll be happy if you say yes, because like i said i have the same problem. i don't think it's normal.
Okay, Ass-head. You're having the same problem as this?

You're having the same problem as this?

Does your problem look anything like this, Ass-head?

You're not having the same problem as me, Ass-head. One of the biggest problems beginning Ass-heads have is seeing problems where none exist.

This is Tahoe OG Kush, by the way, Ass-head. It's a cut available only in SoCal. This is the kind of weed you don't even know how to dream about in Israel or Baghdad or wherever the hell it is you're sticking your finger up your ass.

well, yes, they look like that. it's good to know it's not bad.
Hey, Ass-head. Shut the fuck up. Your shitty shwag could never approach my weed in a million years.

Your weed:

I don't see any trichomes, but I sure see mold.

My weed:

I normally don't do shit like this to people, but you're such an Ass-head, you deserve it.

you take photos of moldy buds and compare them to your super cool photoshopped trich porn... you're that lame
but like einstein or whoever it was said, sometimes the most important lessons are learned from the biggest idiots :)

What else could I do? Those were the only buds in your journal. Grow some better ones next time and we can try again. You'll still look like shit. And how the fuck do you photoshop trichs into your photos? God, you're stupid.

Keep going, Ass-head. This site is better off without you and your moldy weed and wrong information.

You should know ahead of time that I won't stop. I don't stop. So it's up to you to give up if you want to keep using this site.

Oh, and I think it was Einstein who said, "You should have humility if you fucking suck at growing marijuana."
