Does anyone else find it interesting that the sister of Patrice Vincent, the mowed down vet in PQ, was allowed to testify at the c51 hearings, yet the privacy commissioner wasn't? Of course, she supports c51.
she's for it. they won't let anyone speak against it...but they should. Harper said the majority of Canadians are behind C51..if that's the case, why is there so much push back? i think if he had the balls to ask us, he'd find out that fact came from the same ass as the other crap he's been spewing

Just another bill that the cons have wasted time passing that will be over turned by the supreme court of Canada as soon as they try and exercise it. Without a doubt allowing some actual criminal to walk free because the laws were unjust.

If people don't vote Harper and his retarded party of sheep out I have lost all faith in this country. Why is his party a bunch of pussies? Stand the fuck up for yourselves and quit with this "conservative government has one mind" approach, it's fucking scary, American, and making people realize what the conservatives have been up to for the last 9 years.

Canadians need to make it clear in this next election they do not condone American style politics being played in our government buildings.

But the Cons. have oil money and the oil money generating provinces behind them, so people actually have to get out and fucking vote this time and I doubt that's going to happen. People have it in their head there's no reason to vote.... well there is.... you'll end up with Harper that should be proof to blow a hole in that argument for eternity.

Harper just spent 75 million of your taxpayer dollars investing in a security/surveillance company. All under the guise of protecting you from terrorists of course.

I received this this morning...I did it...changed it a bit and said at the end that passage of the bill would result in a lost vote...and if my addys in this one don't even tell me!

In the past few weeks, over 110,000 Canadians have spoken out against the government’s reckless, dangerous, and ineffective Secret Police Bill C-51.1
Stephen Harper knows that opposition to his bill is growing fast, so he’s trying to ram it through Parliament before Canadians can stop him. The final vote will be held very soon – so your MP needs to hear from you right now.
Use our online tool to send a message to your MP. It’s crucial we each send our elected representative a message right now before the final vote in Parliament.
MPs are back in their ridings, so this is the perfect time for people across the country to tell them to do the right thing, and vote on behalf of Canadians against Bill C-51.
All our efforts are driving us towards a ‘Week of Education’ April 13-20 that will see thousands of Canadians speak up and educate their friends, neighbours, and MPs about how Bill C-51 will endanger our privacy and our fundamental democratic rights.
With just days before the final vote, we need to act now. Take a moment to send your MP a message they can’t ignore.
Letters to MPs are highly effective
: no MP wants to stand against their constituents, especially in an election year. If we can get enough people to contact their MPs, we can put a stop to this bill before they head back to Ottawa.
There’s a lot at stake: if Bill C-51 passes, you won’t need to have anything to hide to find yourself under the government’s microscope.
We can still win this, but we need to act now: please, use our tool to tell your MP to listen to Canadians and vote against this reckless legislation.
This is the most effective thing you can do at this moment. I hope I can count on you.
For our rights and freedoms,
–Josh, on behalf of your OpenMedia team
P.S. We’ve had a few highly-engaged supporters to test the tool for us, and MPs offices have already been writing back to say they are feeling the heat. Let’s make sure they can’t ignore Canadians - send a message to your MP right now.
