Pretty sure that if any package is deemed suspicious, they can open/inspect it however they want.
Pretty certain they can't, but they can simply hold you and your package, then get a K-9 and a warrant.

Now if some hot head cop tears into it without permission or the above, it'll get thrown out:)

I think thats what he meant by "deemed suspicious", lol. Anyway, Not a good idea man, I would not risk it over a lil bit of bud, the sending it is probally a felony of some sort, especially if it crosses state lines.

It's only illegal for you to tamper with mail. It is the job of the Feds to prevent such things from being mailed.

you can send it just put it in a plain envelope with no return address altho people on the other end might get questioned if its found

or some kind of weird fed trouble if they did go in to it. but they couldnt suspect anything right? just mail...
Let me get something straight. Are you talking about just having this "Stamped and addressed" envelope (containing weed) on your person - or actually "Mailing" it through the Postal system?

If you are intending to mail something through the Post Office, I don't think it becomes "Mail" until you deposit it in an appropriate "mail box" or "mail system". It is only at that time that you relinquish posession to the "Post Office".

Many years ago I was caught involved in a big production facility. They (post office) would hold up my mail until someone from the police dept. would come and inspect. They sliced open (at the bottom on the envelopes) and reviewed anything they liked. I think one of them "came" on my HighTimes Magazine. LOL........... My lawyer jut shrugged- there's no way to prove anything so you are fucked.

I thought he meant just having it in a envelope but not sending it.

If you gonna send it somewhere use Greyhound or something like that:)
