maybe we need a referendum forced on the government...because in general...all of this talk about legalization....under the current conditions, structure, potential retail conditions
and how this is unfolding....is starting to look completely unacceptable in my estimation...
Since its the general population who stands to be affected by the change in the law...maybe we should insist on a say....and a chance to vote on the key area's of legalization...so the end result is not some giant cluster blank...

And if you also take into account the large number of former government and to a lesser degree former law enforcement officials who are now part of the ACMPR working for LPs, it seems a little too suspicious for all those things to be related to one another coincidentally. They've been setting themselves up for a monopoly from the get go. Now it's just easier to see for those who hadn't clued in yet

I would love to see a 4 or 5 question ballot...on the main principals of mj legalization...and have the results be binding....regardless of interest groups.
The fact that they refuse to open the market to private sector interests is all telling....
What could be a good thing in a lot of different ways and be of benefit to tax coffers ,without lining the pockets of an elite membership, is turning into
what most of us feared legalization would bring
The "old boys"....think somehow...their club is still valid....in the cannabis world.
old boys-old thinking...

I am very curious to see what BC comes up with. We have a brand new government and they haven't said much. They have a golden opportunity to capitalize on BC's famous cannabis friendly culture by lobbying to legitimize one of our biggest industries. Pot tourism would bring tourist dollars and tax revenue. I can't see them dismantling the dispensary model that is already in place and working. The issue is going to be supply. Initially it will be LP only, imo, but I predict a craft grower sector within a few years.
