I'm getting extremely tired of this "medical" front people are using.

Well if it was legal like it use to be before 1937 then no they wouldn't be making money
Except for those growing hemp.

Again the problem I see is
If you make weed legal to sell
You are just inviting the goverment and big tobacco in

Make it legal to possess and grow
Illegal to sell

And come on
We already know clubs will open up and for "donations" you can get some herb. But who cares. If everyone is growing it the price of an ounce would be like 5 bucks

Illegal to sell keeps the black market thriving for those who aren't going to grow it or can't grow it.

I have a freind with lingering effects from Polio he got when he was a kid
He uses a stick in his mouth to type shit becuase his arms look and function about as well as Kermit the frogs

He bought his own house, runs a business and has fathered 2 kids

If you can light a fucking bowl
You can water a fucking plant.

They even make these things called "autoflowers" (google it) you dont even need to mess with light schedules

It certainly does seem like it does keep a bit of black market open.
What black market?

The black market is driven by money

If everyone grew weed, the supply would bring the price down to the point it wouldnt be worth risking it.

I personally would grow 15 foot high 8 lb plants in my back yard

Everyone won't grow weed. That's about as illogical as saying every gun can be banned.

OP-

Ordinarily I would not bother addressing such blatent horseshit, especially after everyone else seems to have properly ripped you to shreads.

But since you shouted out anxiety and depression, my primary reasons for using medical cannabis, I decided to speak my piece. Suffering from a real anxiety disorder and/or depression is not just being nervous or sad sometimes. It's a condition that turns your mind into your worst enemy.

Take a pill you say. Really? Which one? Lexapro? Cymbalta? Xanax? Prozac?

Been there, tried those (and more). Guess what? All they managed to do was completely destroy my life for years. Nothing worked. I was at the point where I was so messed up and inbalanced that I would have rather died then continue on pumping my brain full of poison.

Then I began to explore cannabis as more than a recreational intoxicant and soon found myself on a new life path.

Cannabis actually did save my life. Not just the plant, but the people i've met and experiences that i've had because of it.

Just because someone doesn't appear sick, doesn't mean they aren't. Are there people who abuse the system? Of course, as with anything like this there are people who are just looking to get high. But you know what? It doesn't impact me in the slightest. If they want to sit next to me and get stoned while I get medicated, all i'm going to say is "Pass the lighter!"

Logic is based on inference, reasoning, proofs, deduction, induction, truth values and so on, but not necessarily facts. Facts and truths are different things in the context of logic.

I was using alcohol as an analogy. You ask me if I "even know what logic is", so I ask if you even know what an analogy is. I wasn't saying they were alike in any way, so any differences between the two are irrelevant and meaningless. I wasn't making a statement about the medical benefits of alcohol; that's why I said you could substitute "alcohol" with "bananas" or anything else you'd like. The label doesn't change the analogy. You missed the point I was making entirely then you start with your argumentum ad consequentium statements. Also, your trying to equivocate propositional logic with computational logic.

There is nothing to refute. Yes, IF (x ⇒ y) is True, then (barring any additional or unknown variables) then y if x everytime.

What do you say we end this conversation? No hard feelings.

Automation and artificial intelligence are logic. Period. How do they perform reasoning logic? That's right, with computational logic... Logic is logic brother, just in various different forms. Do you know that a computer can play chess better than a human? That is based on reasoning and strategy. How does it do so? Here's a hint, it's a digital computer, which is made of hundreds of millions, if not billions of nano scale transistors.

If you go back I supported my claim that your logic was bad, each and every time. I further went into an example a few posts back, stating clearly that your logical thought that Adderall is logically comparable to marijuana, was illogical.

You try to support your arguments by attacking mine. I'll give you another hint of what I could say about it; very ironic

Now we can drop it :joint:

Somewhat dissenting opinion. The computer used a subset of logic, since logic is a process ... but not reasoning. Instead it did what computers do best: crunch through a combinatorially huge series of maybes to spot an optimum as defined by highly-specified parameters.
But machine logic and human logic are not quite interchangeable. And while (human-style) logic is a necessary component of reasoning, it's the process part of that but not the setup part. Those are the premises upon which the logic operates, and often there isn't an analytic solution. Jmo. cn

I don't think anyone ripped me to shreds...
Most people missed the whole point I was trying to make, so the only thing that really got ripped to shreds were the irrelevant strawmen.

And believe me, the person that says "cheer up" to someone suffering from depression obviously doesn't have a clue. I have PTSD, panic attacks (sometimes), anxiety, and severe depression, so I'm there with you. I know a lot of those meds don't work and a few even make things worse. My gf smokes to relieve her anxiety and depression and it seems to help her.

See my other statement at the bottom of this page.

"You try to support your arguments by attacking mine."

That's allowed, is it not? I prefer to call it defending my arguments/ presenting a counter-argument.

Weed is a theurpuetical herb

How many using it for therapy, just have a medical card and a made up condition to get it?

I use it to get stoned. And I can bet that if I was in a medical state I would have make up a condition to get a card.
Your health or your mood would improve.
