Immunosuppression

The scientific community is clearly undecided on the matter, but some studies certainly have borne out reduced T-cell count in regular ganja users. Now, clearly most things that will significantly destabilize the immune system are to be avoided. However, is its mild suppression something to be truly concerned about? Perhaps some doctors here can chime in.

While most of the time a strong immune system is a very good thing, too strong or too active of an immune system can prove very dangerous: Multiple sclerosis on the upper end and fevers on the lower, and allergies from top to bottom.

I know that I never git sick, apart from dyspepsia (you know why), when using ganja regularly. Other heavy smokers I have known over the years report similar results, unless they live a particularly unhealthy lifestyle in other ways.

I think that any immunosuppression is balanced out by the regular deep sleep, lower blood pressure, and better respiratory function caused by ganja's active ingredients. For many like me have always been underweight, the higher caloric intake seems to have health benefits as well.

And just as ganja is a far safer alternative to alcohol, I think that it might be much a safer alternative to some immunosuppressant drugs on the market (the medical does for the most part concur on its benignity), and that light immunosuppression is a healthy thing for a body with a particularly strong immune system (mine has been pretty effective so far, and I would class myself in the "hyperactive immune system" group).

its the mercury in immunization shots that get us sick, and the poisonous foods at the supermarket.

Yea, I don't think it make your immune system any worse... I don't ever get sick besides in the winter, I get a cold like everyone else lol.
I do think it messes with your memory for sure though, I've been a smoker for almost 7 yrs and now when I talk to people I forget what I'm talking about lol.
I forget a lot of things all the time, could be because I smoke a lot too idk.

Wow, completely missed what I was saying. Makes me wonder if you read it. The point is that in many cases an immunosuppressive reaction is beneficial for health:
