come on use ur fucking brains 50%=1/2 so do u realy think 1/2 the plant is going to be thc
ERRRRrrrrrrrr, no. You have it kinda wrong there, bro. When someone claims that a plant has 20% thc, they're not claiming that 20% of the plant is made up of thc. That's not how this is calculated. Not even close.

Were you under the impression that a strain like White Widow was made up of 20%+ thc??? LOL

There's an Elephant Bud thread on here somewhere.

You should read that before you throw your money away.

Hey,

Please explain to me how they guy you quoted is wrong......Sven Diesel's statement about THC calculation is absolutely correct (literature at my home supports SD's statement).

as stated by high times 420, BC Bud depo state in their terms of service that the THC content is a fictitious number for entertainment. however i can no longer seem to find their terms of service, just a disclaimer.

No, no he's not. The calculation is done using "liquid gas chromatography". It measures the percentage of thc, cbd, cbn, etc as a percentage of the glandular trichome head. Not as a percentage of the entire plant. Think about it ............ if 20% of the ENTIRE plant were made up of thc, it would look like a pine tree after a 3 foot snowfall. LOL

do you have a reference?

as far as i was aware the cannabis in it's natural form is used, not just a trichome head.

don't forget that unlikie with snowfall, the thc is secreted throughout the plant matter, not jsut on the outside.

i think it is the percent per the tested sample, which is usually a bud. yes, that BUD is 20% THC. but that bud doesn't represent the whole plant. that bud DOES look like it was in a snow storm. that is why it tested at 20%. now if you ground the WHOLE plant up, of course you would have a lower reading. you don't smoke the whole plant though, so why test the whole plant?

the BUD is 20% THC.

i could be wrong.
