The only places that perlite holds anything are the open pores on its surface, it does not hold nutrients well.
is flushing a noob tactic?

pores like drilling for oil oil comes from poreious rock formation so if you think perlite doesnt it will still hold nutes
actually my next feeding 1400 ppm i will gather all my perlite i can find in my soil next day and place it in a glass but prior to doin this i will recalibrate my meter, then test water 250ml see what it reads add my perlite i gathered then like stirring coffee i will check ppm of perlite and water solution you think i will see any gains

drowning roots starts chemical breakdowns in the plant. i heard you should flush for the fact that it starts your curing process before you even cut the bud off the plant.

if your using tap water for weed your a noob, clean water is 25 cents a gallon, cmon now dont be cheap

Lugging water around might be a good option if you only have a plant or two. What if you have 30 or 40 plants?

your very right, if you have a warehouse full of plants it might make it a little more difficult
I use a drip system but I still have to get back there and Hand feed sometimes.. I'm going ebb and flow next time.

guess the point was there is nothing wrong with tap water. Chlorine is not a problem if you let it sit for a little while. I don't even have chlorine in my tap water. You should see the water out of the river I use in the summer. chlorine is the least of the worries. Even with that crap water my plants grow big and strong. mater of fact, I don't even have to use nutes when I use river water.

thats cus river water contains minerals and nutrients absorbed from the ground and rocks. My point I guess is that now in our technologically advanced age, we have the ability to use pure water that contains nothing but H2O, so you can precisely tune the amount of nutes you put in down to the parts per million, so tap water is inferior, yes it can work, but there are much better alternatives nowadays. this isnt the stone age anymore so why grow such an important crop like it is.
