Is it ok to cut shade leaves off to let plant flower better?

Ohh man that was quite the trim. A good rule of thumb is to never cut off more than 25% of the plants total foliage. Trimming makes the plant grow better but if you cut it that much it will think its under attack and it will stress it out.
No shit Sherlock. You are the very fucking reason he did.

Look at that fried ass bud in your avatar. That should be reason enough not to listen to you.

You in here pushing your dumb shit and caused someone to screw their plant up.

Hope you are proud of yourself.

Does anyone just cutt off fan leaves. Its common sense to clear up the base stems of all bud sites... If you look at my shit its neatly trimmed I cut them every 2 weeks until about week 2 of flower and they loved it every time I cut the lower shit off.

Well I did it! My Indica Blueberry was a THICK bush...colas are forming, rain is coming...

I did it for air flow...guess we will see...

Before and after pics...the frame is my wet weather cover...will be sheeting it with plastic today too...

The before pic was actually taken about 3 weeks ago...

oh my that poor poor plant, such a glorious girl you ruined her :(

some simple leaf tucking would have been all you needed

at least you have the before pic to remember her by.

I have to thin the heck out of my plants now because of the rain and humidity. Have to keep the plant as airy as possible help to prevent PM. It will be a daily inspection until harvest.

Been watching this thread, also haven't said anything. I have huge bushy plants and I cut at least 10 leaves a day.. but again because my bitches need the hair cuts ahah

But seeing that plant.. naked..

It looks like the one part of my blueberry plant that I cut all the infected leaves off. Which is a scary thing to do Btw lol

I really hope the best for your plants and a well harvest.

I don't blame you for following misleading info, the Internet makes people stupid, fills your brain with 100 different answers to one question; so no one can blame you for trusting one persons above the others advice. Growing is a learning process and without mistakes we don't be learn and or improve.

Please keep us updated :)

Thats a flushed out nug you idiot. You arent seeing excess your seeing deficiency :/ Did I tell him to cut off half his plants foliage? I dont think so... Its common sense to not cut more than 20-30% every grower should know when you go from pruning/trimming/defoliating to just straight up attacking the plant.

So if your so experienced why didn't you share that knowledge first, instead of letting him mutilate his plant. It's not common sense to a noob.

Ok.

I mean no offense. First flushing does nothing. Nutrient company schedules have you over feed then flush to sell more product. You can't flush immobile nutrients. The mobile just move to new growth.

High P and K bloom boosters yellow plants out.

Feed them optimum feeds and no flush needed. The smoothness come from the cure and dry.

Most rush it. I like it to take 5-7 days to dry and then a minimum 2 weeks daily burping in jars. Then a week or two of burping every 3 days. Then another week or two in jars at least.

It takes time for chlorophyll to break down.

Time of chop influences the process. Chop right before lights on or sun up. The terpenes and smell will be highest and starches in the root zone.

Get mad if you want. I mean try something before you knock it. I dropped cannabis specific and boosters all together.

Keep it green and happy and it will reward you. Cannabis puts on up to 25% of its weight in the last two weeks.

You've bought into overfeeding and then flushing.

Reduce the feed just to what the plant needs and water until 20% run off and use plain every few waterings.

Not to knock what you are doing. Its good work. Just saying you can up your yield and quality with a few tips.

If I seem like an ass my bad. I have documented a few of my mistakes here.

Your first video the yellow leaves were from a combo root bound and defeincy.

The ones in 5 gallon buckets needed put in 30 gallon or bigger pots or holes.

Put them in the ground. The sun is hard on roots in a bucket. That also contributes to yellowing.

Give a try and watch how much your yield reaches.

Quality also.

Those were under a cheap ass t5. Pots 15 inch wide.
Just scale up.

Feel free to critique me. I will listen to legitmit advice.

No offence was ever meant.

Who's the idiot who thinks a deficient bud is a good thing? And by saying defoliate, you told him to strip his plant. Even after being corrected, you never changed you're tune.

If you shave your head, it's still a haircut but it's not just a trim.
