Is it worth growing a few bagseeds/hermie seeds next to bought female seeds.

Sorry if I tread on a sore spot.
Just messing around man. I'm glad to have light shed on me before I get a surprise with my breeding. This might be the wrong place to ask, but what can I expect crossing two strains one of which has a tendency to hermie? Or if I were to backcross again with the non-hermie? At some point I should see less of the tendency, or maybe buried in a certain phenotype.

You are right. Breeding stable genetics with less stable will produce something in the middle. But there could still be phenos each way. The best thing to do is make some crosses, grow out a lot of them, find the keepers and cross them back to the more stable strain. All it takes is time and money. And lots of hard work.

That's kind of what I thought. I'm sure you will see me asking questions in a few months when I'm getting to work on this. Feel free to tell me if I'm doing something stupid.

I'm the one who does the stupid stuff. You need seeds to grow, so I make seeds. Not always the most thought out crosses. I'm just an unreformed pollen chunker.
