Although it will definitely get the job done I wouldn't buy that. 1000W DE in a ventilated hood would cost 30% of that price max and that "finished 1 week sooner" statement is bullshit marketing which is a red flag by itself.

true its about the same price for 900 watts from timber but im going to go through alibaba when i build my big boy im just more of of DIY guy plus at like 40 bucks a cob or less depending on how many i wind up getting is kinda hard to beat but i guess $1800 bucks is pretty fair for a plug and play unit. But it looks like it will do what you need it to make BIG FROSTY NUGS so if you want it and it fits your room go for it.

Personally I have yet to meet a big time grower ever use just led lights HID lights in my opinion are going to yield way more bud then a led at a fraction of the cost

led will pull the same or more with less watts from the wall the problem with them is the cost up front but you soon get that back with the savings on electric

Amen lol

Stoner bro PhD's?

A couple of real tech savvy, forward thinkers. That nonsense sounds like what was said about the cups with string in between and the steam locomotive.

"early steam locomotives were a frightening prospect for their Victorian passengers. Before the opening of the first major railway line, the Liverpool & Manchester in 1830, there were fears it would be impossible to breathe while travelling at such a velocity, or that the passengers’ eyes would be damaged by having to adjust to the motion." The 3590 cd bin is a 56% efficient at nominal current ( ithink)..It's def a killer cob and that rig looks great. The main issue is that to get the max potential from the cobs it's far better to have the light engines spread apart. This is one reason why the very best lamps are diy

you are correct if those lights were spread out to a 4.5x4.5 would be a killer light a would beat a 1000 watts any day

yes, driven at like 700mA or less, spread out, and optics to match the room setup, that rig should yield a few pounds. With the right strain.

As is, it would still crush any HID.

to the op. i was wondering about the bc blondes, seems like a decent option if you are in canada and if they are really cree as advertised.

DE 1000w hps might be 30% of the cost of a COB setup , but the COB setup will last 10 times longer!! do the math!! haha , also 1000watts of COBs likely outperforms 1000 watts HID.

I disagree HID lights will out preform any led and I want just one person to post a completely led run that pulls 1 pound per plant how about you go and watch urban remo on YouTube that's one hell of a grower and only stands by HID lights

You have no clue. Go through the LED section. Every experienced DIY grower easily exceeds 1g/w. I know Luddites swear by HID and they work great it's true. In certain scenarios they may still be the best option. But they are not as powerful, efficient or as spectrum focused as led. Their time is passing. Their tech has been at it's climax for years. Watt for watt an led lamp will crush ANY HID handily. A state of the art led rig, watt per watt can produce close to double the amount of photons. Plants grow on photons not tired out beliefs

Lmao ok opinions are like ass holes everyone has one and I spent 200$ on my 600w HPS set up i only grow 10 plants at a time in a sea of green so I think I'd stay with HID lights opposed to LED lights that range from 600-1800$ for 400w-1200w I'm ok lol and if 20$ extra on the light bill a month is to much oh well lol

"opinions are like ass holes" ya, you sure make that clear.

However it's physics not opinions that show an LED is much more efficacious at delivering PAR. It's plain you're clinging to stoner bro dogma.
You seem to be illiterate about the biology and physics of photosynthesis.

that is a hell of a lot of cash. 1 light that WILL beat a hps hortilux is made by (kind ) led . there par out put was more then a hps . check them you tube . tested on monstergardens i would never spend that much cash on a light .
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=Kind+LED+K5+XL1000+Grow+Light&_sacat=0
for the price you could own 7 hps lights . or 4 really good hps lights with raptor hoods . no led will beat those .my opinion . so its a toss up 4 very good hps lights you could grow the hell out of many plants a huge stupid garden or 1 led and have about the same as hps .
