Oh... Lol... I did not smoke those yet. What I meant by they will "go into a quick cure mode", is... I am going to keep those in a separate jar. With only a few buds in a quart size jar, they will cure faster than the ones that will be 3/4 full. I should be able to smoke them in a week... Maybe two.

I think I just pulled another "Justforme"! I did get the light hood and now I am having to redesign everything in my closet that I already had worked out in my head.... The fucking light hood is 1 1/2 inches wider than the two walls I was gonna stick it between! It s pretty big. That is a pair of my size 13 shoes next to it.

LOL

i have plenty of room in the closet, but now I have to rethink a few things. Hehehehehehe. What a doofus!

The higher temps are not a "perk" of using co2, but more a requirement for optimal results. When boosting with CO2, as someone stated, you need higher levels of light because your plants are absorbing light at an increased rate. But they are also uptaking nutes faster, transpiring faster, etc. The higher temps, within the ideal range, promote these higher levels of operations.

So one can't really say that you use co2 to fix higher temps. What is really happening is you are using higher temps to balance an imbalance created by usage of higher levels of co2.

I'd wouldn't use a blow by co2 system to try and band-aid an over heated room.

I could not agree more spandy! I have been fighting heat issues with my first grow. That really is the driving reason for getting out of the cabinet and into the whole closet. That is also why I bought the vented light hood. When I get done, I am going to have plenty of light. I am using 10 each t5 HO 6500k 24" 24 watt fluorescent lights, 1 1,000 w MH and 1 400w MH ( and I am considering throwing in a UV light for flowering) I'd only use it 3-4 hours day.

I bought the CO2 setup because I could not get my temps down in the cabinet and then found out pretty quick I wasn't ready to start using it. (Like you said, it is not a band aide) I only plan on using it if testing shows me I can't stay below 80 degrees F inside the grow area. I won't try sealing the grow area if the temps are two high already as sealing will drive them up more. I won't really decide on CO2 unless I can make the conditions for using right first.

That really is the experiment I am trying right now... Can I put the Sun in my closet and not melt! Lol

Well, it looks like I survived the holiday weekend. I hope everyone had a nice long weekend!

On to a new topic. I got behind schedule on the build out with the weekend's festivities. Which is okay since my plant is still finishing up on the lower buds.

Now I am trying to figure out what two lights I want inside the hood. I have a brand new 1000w warm deluxe metal halide 3200K And I all of the CFLs are 6,500k. So that kind of only leaves me needing to make a choice on the 400w.

I am thinking I need something in a the blue part of the spectrum.

Any suggestions?

I had a change of heart on my lighting scheme. I am going to run all of the t5's with 6500k bulbs, I am going to run the 400w with a 3200k MH bulb and I am going to put a 6500k MH in the 1,000w... This is the scheme for veg I am going with.

Still undecided about adding a UV light...
