Have you ever seen Cali Connection's Old Skool Kush? I have a few clones of it but I've never seen, smoked, or heard of it before.

Elite Genetics ran an old school kush i used it to mother a few sedds in days gone by i still have one in frig very potent mine was fems- a little stretchy- very kushy - little lemony- very good sum top notch shit

enjoy 1Luv
Sounds promising. I'm having trouble researching this, and from what I have pieced together and mainly figured out with reasoning is this: The Old School Kush is by Cali Connections and is Hindu x Afghan (I got the seeds prepackaged from Cali Connections). And the Elite Genetics Old School OG Kush is the CC Old School Kush, plus they added their Chem Dawg to it. So that all makes perfect sense. I would really like to try both, but I am excited to grow this out. I just transplanted a bunch of them, I am thinking vertical growing this round. Thanks for your input Dwezel, it helps me grow this girl out comfortably.

From what I am beginning to understand that a lot of California-based seed companies are working very closely together. I don't have much insight on it all, but it seems one spurs off another.

looking tasty man. U still using GO?
Yep, and very pleased with it. When I mix all the ingredients together in a 1 gallon jug they produce this wonderful frothy foam that looks like a freshly poured glass of Guinness.

And who doesn't like Guinness? :leaf:

A few bookkeeping notes...

Both Querkles and Space Queen #1 are all ready for harvest. Expect pics of the Querkles soon.

I transplanted my Sour Hazy Jones, Grape Stomper x OG, Deadhead OG, and Blue Widow yesterday and will get pics of them as well.

I jarred up the NYC Diesel today, and decided to weigh just 4 big colas, and it came to 45 grams. I had to cut most of them in half to fit into the mason jars, which sucks, because it's fun to have 12" long buds, but whatever. It completely filled three quart size mason jars, which hold about an ounce, give or take, and its absolutely delicious. It has a mango/passion fruit/orange/grapefruit/skunk smell that is perfectly reflected in the taste. Not much diesel/fuel smell or taste but I get the feeling that might come after the cure really sets in.

Thanks for following along everyone :peace:

Lookin forwards to seein those GS-OG & SHJ's of yours, I've started LST on my SHJ's this week and will be throwing both my GS-OG's & SHJ's into flower in the next week I thinks. I'm not seein much variation in my GS-OG's to say they're F1's, they've all got a mostly indica leaf shape too and are pretty uniform, how bout you??

Holy shit man that's insane yield off of that nyc diesel. Is that somas diesel and was it a common pheno or an amazing freak of nature? Have you ever grown out a sativaish plant that looks similar to mine and when do you normally see your buds poppin? Not bulkin up maturation wise but stacking a bunch of calyxs.

Mine are only a couple weeks old, but look strikingly similar. They have been the fastest growing of the seeds I just planted, and have pretty wide leaves. I took pics but don't have time to put them up till later.

Some of that weight was the thick ass stems that were still there, and it might still lighten up as they cure, but yeah I'm pleased with it. It is Soma's and I'm now sure how common of a phenotype it is.

Calyx stacking (foxtailing) is definitely a strain-dependent occurrence, and tends to happen later in flower.

Yeah that was my World of Seeds Afghan Kush landrace. Very indica heavy all the way around. Amazingly tight node spacing, great yield, stayed very short and didn't like to branch. Medium feeder but could tolerate heavier doses with no problem. Susceptible to bud rot/mold due to density so ventilation and adequate temps/humidity is important.

Smell was kind of like musky and hashy...not very much like any OG Kush. But it had a nice sweet flavor with kush undertones. Very crystal coated with great bag appeal and excellent for cash cropping. I've got pics of it at harvest time you just have to dig for them.

So I got some pics of the Querkles last night before they came down. We'll start there.

First, Querkle #3. She filled out a little better than #2, but both should have been vegged longer for larger plants and better yield. Next time I will do better. Both have a wonderful sweet grape smell, but #3 is stronger and turned considerably more purple, which is cool. I made seeds using both moms, but will probably only use seeds from #3.

Querkle #2.

A few shots of them hanging in the box.

Seedlings, just transplanted a couple days ago. The three big ones that look the same are the Grape Stomper x OG, the smaller one is a Sour Hazy Jones.

Back left is Deadhead, back right is Sour Hazy Jones, front right is Deadhead, front left is Sour Hazy Jones. The front left one seems to have gotten a little burnt from the transplant. That happened last time with the Cali Connection Sour Diesel when I transplanted...I probably just made the soil a bit too hot for them. The others seem to be doing fine in the same soil.

The back black pot is Blue Widow, the front black pot is Deadhead. The cups next to it are 2 Jamaican Me Crazy and 4 Reserva Privada Sour Diesel clones. Next to them are 10 Cali Connect Sour Diesel clones and 2 Sharksbreath! clones, though you can't really see those.

Space Queen #1 is ready for harvest, and may come down later today. The other two need a bit longer. The big Sharksbreath! should be getting close to harvest. My NYC Diesel clone is pushing out more pistils than some of my flowering plants and it is still vegging! I think that is part of the reason the first one flowered in only 66 days.

Jerry, I told you give me a warning to fetch a bib before you post again, you've got to give me a chance!

Now dribble is everywhere!

Incredulity-inspiring, jealousy-inducing grows!

Lookin good Jerry!! when do you plan on topping those, if you are that is??
I don't top, I just tie down. Achieves more colas without removing the main stem. I'll probably start when they get another couple nodes under their belt.

i remember back in the day when u start your first post(way way back) here great work!, i took some time off from riu
Haha it's fun to look back sometimes and think how far things have come. A good portion of my skills today came from many hours spent on this forum. Amazing what a little research and reading can do!

Brought down SQ #1 last night. 72 days 12/12. Hard to describe the scent but it is very strong...kind of lemony like JTR but not quite the same. Should be a treat regardless.

I cut down 3 colas before realizing I didn't take pictures, so just imagine the 3 on the plate are attached. They look just like the two still standing.

What is the volume of those containers? I've noticed the square pots with the holes in the side can grow much larger plants than round pots of the same size.
