Ya I have heard so many people say this, but I have used 4100k bulbs and have had no problems or issues whatsoever. Works great actually in my opinion, and I have seen people have the same results.

btw, here's a shot of a couple White Rhino's i grew under a 400CMH (4100Kelvin) and each yielded nealy 2 zips from 2liter Coke-bottle hempy-buckets. ...so almost a quarter elbow from only 4 liters of medium.

Pics or it didn't happen:).......just did a little re-read and bozo was talking about a Ceramic Metal Halide 4100k bulb during flower........I will say again 4100k flourescents are worthless for flowering, I get waaaayy better results with 2700,3000 even 5000k flourescent bulbs.......remember theres always a better way.peace

The 'wire nut' in picture #1 is undersized for the number of wires you have there... [that looks like a 72B Wire Nut]
Go bigger please, to at least a Red one...
All wire nuts are rated size wise to the number of wires allowed under them.
Just double check it, wouldn't want it to come loose, and touch your hood, and ... well it could become shocking...
Hood grounded ?

I agree 100%, I have used 4100k bulbs with great results. It's the CRI or color rendering index that's most important when talking about the light used by plants for photosynthesis. I hate when people say they are useless (4100k CFL's) or have no usable light when they have no idea what they are talking about.

The CRI or color rendering index or a light bulb is more important for what usable light is coming from it that is used for photosynthesis, not the color temperature. This Critical Auto I am growing is at 5 - 6 weeks under a majority of 4100k light (45 watt 4100k T5 CFL CRI 735) and I have been happy no issues at all. I have also compared this to others with the same strain and looks like i'm doing great in comparison.
