Just wondering if I should flower or keep vegging?

I have some clones in 1 gallon pots of coco mix. They have been vegging about 3 weeks and have grown up to be between 9''-12"
I have 12 of them and they are under a 400w MH light.
I am going to be flowering under a 1k hps that I just got. Should I veg these longer, if so how much? Are they good to flower now?
I realize they can be flowered at any time after rooting, but I don't want to flower them so early that the 1k light will be overkill.
I attached a picture of an average one. Some of them are shorter and more bushy, some of them are taller and thinner.
I have quite a few genetics so I figure that's probably why.

So what do you guys think?

Me, personally, if i had 12 plants i'd probably flower them when they were about a foot tall... Especially clones, that would guarantee me plenty of smoke til the next grow finished...

All depends on what you want out of it... If you want a huge yield, i'd veg for another 3-5 weeks... If you don't need a huge yield, veg for another week then flower...

I would def. VEG them for another week, atleast before flowering...

yea 1 ft is probably about right. maybe 1.5. remember, they are going to double or even triple in size during flowering.

You wont grow 12 plants under 1 400w. light either HPS/?metal Halide. 400 watt lite will NOT grow 12 plants......Reduce your dreams and mabey look for 5 plants right under that 400W light and keep em tite together. I use 2 400w. lites HPS mixed with A metal/Halide
and can grow 10 plants in DWC rubber made bins with good results...

Oh yeah well they are doing good vegging under the 400MH, they will be moved to the 1000 hps when I flower them and I know a 1kw can handle 12 plants, I think you missed that part.

Anyways yeah I was thinking maybe veg until the new year then flowering. I think they will all be closer to 1.5 feet and more bushy.

Oh and even though I am flowering with a 1k you can definitely flower 12 plants under a 400 hps because I did that on my last grow.
