Hi. I'm in week 4 of a 8 week cycle. Can anyone tell me what is wrong by looking at this picture? It's mostly on bigger fan leaves.bud yellow between veins.JPG

Thanks!

Any idea how to fix this? I'm growing in hydro cubes right now. PH is always 5.6-5.8 . I'm starting to get really worried...

what nutes are you adding? its obv a deficiency of some sort

if you have NPK covered, id suggest something like Earthjuice Microblast

it has all the micronutrients the plant needs during all stages of growth, everything but the npk

i'm using a bunch of stuff. Mostly advanced nutrients brand and some others. I use Bloom A/B, big bud, calmag, protekt, and a couple of other things i can't remember right now...

Almost certain its k def. At this stage week 4 their need for pottasium increases greatly. Find a flowering nute high in k such as pk 13-14 for eg.

yeah doesn't look like N deficiency to me. I would guess its a pH problem of fluctuation but im no pro. Nitrogen Def doesnt h ave those dark green veins. perhaps another Macro nutrient

I THINK I have NPK covered. I usually put the base nutrients in last according to what I want the PPM to be. For example, I'm suppose to be at 1450ppm so I'll add everything else (calmag, pro-tekt, big bud, vitamax, etc) and then put in Bloom A/B until I get to 1450ppm. Sometimes, it doesn't take that much Bloom A/B to reach my target ppm...

Any thoughts?

Yeah you are starving them. Plain water add Protekt and adjust the Ph, (Protekt will jump PH as high as 9) then add your calmag and your Bloom A&B per the lable instructions then add all your other stuff then check the PH again it should be close to 5.8. Do you have some grow nute that you could mix into a foliar spray? If not get some and start foliar spraying until you get them back into shape. Any reason you use Dyna Gro Protekt but not the other products? Also whole plant pics are very helpful.

Thanks for replying.

I'm not sure what you mean by starving them. How am I doing that?

I'll take some pictures today and post it tomorrow. But the damn lighting is giving the pictures stripes.

I'm sure the PH isn't the problem because I check it twice a day. It's always at 5.6 to 5.8. I have a few foliar sprays but I'm hesitant to use it because I'm 4 weeks into flowering and the buds are starting to come out. I have folitech, penetrator and some sea kelp thingy (which smells like fish shit). Is it kosher to spray 4 weeks into flowering? (lights off of course)

Also, if i'm putting A/B in before Big Bud and other additives, then wouldn't that change the ppm? Someone told me about the 1/3 to 2/3 PPM ratio. 1/3 of the PPM for additives and 2/3 PPM for base nutrients Bloom A and B. Is that true?

Ok, you have your main nute which is 4 N 5P 6k with mag at .07 Which is low because they want you to buy the rest of the formula in another bottle YOu use big bud which only adds .05 mag and stuff that no one knows WTF it does. and your Cal Mag adds 2% N 3.2 C and 1.2 M . So check out Dyna Gro 3 N 12 P 6K add mag pro 2P 15P 4k That sets you at 8.2 N 5 P 6K with 1.9 Mag Mine is 3 N 27 P 10 K 2 M If you add all your other stuff then only add what is necessary to get to a PPM then you are short changing yourself a nute that was already weak.

I am sorry if this confuses you more but you have to know the numbers when its all mixed. Sorry but I do love DG for no other reason than its clean and very easy.

Mix up a gal of your AB at 1/8 strength and Foliar spray that and rotate the Folitech until they get back to normal. And you should spray with the lights on. Its guys that spray with 1000w 6 in from the plants and then wonder why they burnt.

That's pretty cool. How do you know the ideal NPK ratios to give the girls?

And I never knew you could foliar with Bloom A/B... guess i'll look into that some more.

I have a whole page of all the differnt brands of nutes and add them all up just to see who was full of shit and most of them are. I just averaged out all of them and thats where I came up with it. I don't think anyone really knows what the plant is doing without Tissue sampling. Yes please do I should not have said that without knowing first hand but you should be able to with the right strength.

I agree it could be K-def, considering the timing.

But doesn't the leaf in OP's image look a LOT like Magnesium-def?
Mg-def: yellowing between veins (you'll find this descriptions everwhere!).

But at which stage does Mg-def get yellow at the very edges, and does it always happen?

These are some pictures of my babies. What do you think? It's 4 weeks old. I actually think they're kinda small...

Also, my buddy at the hydro store said it's a nitrogen deficiency. He wanted me to try going back to basics with just the base nutrients. Any thoughts?

Ok, so I'm in middle of week 4 right now I've been using Sensi Bloom A/B, bud candy, calmag, hygrozyme, and big bud. The first week I used bud blood. Now, with all these problems, I'm thinking about going with only Sensi Bloom A/B. I guess my question is, would these leaves go back to being normal or is it too late? And would this bring me back to the basics?
