So I have a 2x4 for my mother's under a 4" 4 bulb t5.

Wanting to run LEDs in the 4x8 veg/bloom tent. I see light running 1500+ and others around 500. All claiming this and that. I would run HPS but temp is a problem In my area amd not try to blow up the electric bill even more. Open to all ideas. Thanks in advance. Namaste.

Went down the LED rabbit hole before and I never made it back.
The technology has definitely made leaps and bounds since its introduction to horticulture.

Few tips...

1. Grab a full spectrum model i.e. something with white light. (tested burple against white COBs and wouldn't you know...)

2. Pay attention to what components art using. Are they of high quality?

3. Look at the warranty. Does the company back their brand up?

4. Customer service. Do they take care of you?

Hope this helps.

I have a 5' x 5' x 6.5' grow tent. I have 2 1200w led full spectrum lights, I want to add a third. Are 2 lights enough for this space or would the third light be optimal? Thanks for any input

LEDs in a 4 8 is going to be expensive (relative I know)

I would go with minimum of 2 lights, and better 4 of equal or comparable umoles. If part fails, you can make adjustments

Definitely white based LEDs

I'm partial to Amare, but have not grown with CoB only offerings

Going to go with 2 duo lux 600's they have great reviews from what I have seen and the hydro shop by me has them so if any thing goes wrong I can just bring them the light and they give me a new one while they send mine out to be fixed. Saves me from having to worry about a problem were the light fails and I have to ship it back and im without a light for days.
