I think that may have been a typo I do not see it...as far as the security goes we use PayPal or the preferred method, Western Union. WU makes it about 4 days faster. If you browse to the contact us section it has a phone number to get support. This is a small company so you talk to a real person who is just like you...
Hey breakneck im real interested in the 90w on your site, do you really get 2 90w ufos for 190.00?!?!?! http://calyxled.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=32

Also, does your website have any security/encryption. And I cant find any contact number or physical/email addresss. Thanks

Thank you for the clarification. I just want to make sure the sites I'm looking at are safe; this is a lot of money for me.

Peace
consider the savings in power alone! Good LED systems are expensive because the cost of the diodes are damn near $10 each.

Just found this thread and I am using the 120w LED that seems to be the most current as of July. Im only in a few weeks of veg. but now i'm starting to see the Quad-band which I think is the newer models coming out in august. Has anyone else tried these lights?
Hey man how is that Tri band working out? Thats a pretty good price. I found the same one on a different site for 350.

Dude,
I'm using a 5-Band Tri-Spectrum, supposedly it should provide for and I quote "4x the photosynthetic rate than a Tri-Band)! So far it's doing great no complaints yet, especially since I didn't properly feed the girls the second and thid week of vegging! but this is the first full week of flowering and it's only in the flowering does everyone have doubts!! I'm gonna clone both since I already have 1 test running under with 1 plant no additives and one with under LED. I'm thinking as suggested by Flo Gro to run the same test with my 400w HiD.

I think I should get a light meter so I can see what this is putting out. Even though i don't think the measures are accurate for our purposes under LED.

:Peace:

I am currently waiting on delivery of http://cgi.ebay.com/250W-7-Band-Cree-HO-LED-Grow-Light-UFO-600W-HPS-MH_W0QQitemZ170556519995QQcategoryZ42225QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo=SIC&its=I%2BC&itu=UCI%2BIA%2BUA%2BFICS%2BUFI&otn=10&pmod=170550198150&ps=63&clkid=4756643540021606349
250W 7-Band Cree HO LED Grow Light UFO = 600W HPS/MH

all opinions greatly appreciated
Thanks for that link Giant,
Iv been researching LED lights for the past month and i think this is the BEST ALL around LED grow light. it uses full 3w bulbs for the flowing lights, also the 7-band cree HO lights. this light is TITS. I'm for sure going to buy one of those once i can grab the $ within a week. I'll keep everyone updated on how it works out .
P.S. the site offers free shipping too :)

I've read the same thing about 1W diodes being more energy efficient. The higher wattages put out less light per watt used. There is a scientific reason to stick with 1W diodes, but I forgot. Worthy of research before purchase. LED lights do work, they just are too slow for me. I'm still on my first LED grow, which started in July. If you want to scrog or LST, I advise not doing so under LED lights. Branching is minimal under LEDs.

In fact, I plan on selling my HTG 120W tri-bands as soon as I can harvest.

:clap:Light arrived today:clap: but would you believe its not workin:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:. Sent off email to let them know. Awaiting response, should be interesting to see how good there customer service is.I need a :bigjoint:.

My HTG 120W is working great... plants are thriving but there's also 3 42W CFLs in there... Are you going to get another LED or are you going to switch to HPS?

BTW how are you plants doing? Do you have any pics?

now ill be honest and say i have no experience with LED's but i remember reading an article in a local west coast cannabis magazine issue stating that "growing with LED's has produced the most crystallization i have ever seen with any type of lighting"

and that got me thinking maybe the future of lighting isnt the biggest of nugs, but maybe its the most potent of nugs.

so im just wondering is there any noticeable difference in potency with LEDs or was it just local propaganda hype i read in the magazine

I'm looking for LED's, which I've been getting straight from overseas for about 1$ a watt. With that in mind, I'd be interested in the HTG at $120. I tried to PM you . . . maybe shoot me a PM in reply? Thanks!

I'd imagine that has more to do with genetic than light quality.

does anyone know any reputable places to buy LED's in the uk? im hoping to get something like the stealthgrow 602
I personally would not buy from anyone in the UK. I have looked at many of them available here. Rather get from a supplier in the States, they are happy to sell to you and are cheaper for a seemingly better product with a 3 year warranty to boot. PM if you want and I'll give you links if you like.
