im running this grow with a 600w in a cool tube or i could go down to 250 what say you ?

made my mind up on the strains gona go with A.M.S and Trainwreck as ive already got them at no cost. this will allow me to play about with them and see what works best. :weed:
may not even bother with scrog just lst and supercrop :weed:

lst and supercropping is a great combo gives you a lot of control, how many plants are you gonna put into your space if you don't mind me asking?

Darn toot'n! Fuck me a 600w! Even in a cool tube that baby is gonna generate some substantial heat with 1100mm as your max height.
...not saying it can't be done, providing you live where ambient temps are near freezing lol.
I've done a 400w in vented cool tube with 950mm just to veg', and it's hot in the summer.
Do you have control over your ambient temps TL?
This is important.

hi mammath, i have no control over ambient temps unless its to heat up given that do you think i should go for the 250 instead ? that way i can get those babies closer to the light ?
im using a 250 cfm fan on a variable switch in a small space ( 1.1 cubic meters ) hopefully that should have no probs removing heat.
i have 2 8 * 3 " passive vents direct to clean fresh outdoor air.
ambient temps on a hot day approx 72 f and on a cool day 67 f coldest yet at night is 56 f
those temps are with nothing running
so mammath my friend what do ya think ?

Your ambient temps are a shit load better than mine so that's a bonus.
In that space you want to suck as much heat off the bulb as you can.
600w is still out of the question because other than heat you'll have too many lumens per sqft and probably bleach the shit out of your buds.
I had a 250mm exhaust + a vented cooltube using a 150mm in line with a 150mm passive intake.
Taking into consideration pot height you'll probably have to keep your plants 40cm from the bulb with a 400w that's not in a cooltube.
That doesn't allow for a lot of height to grow.
With a 400w in a vented cooltube you can probably get them within 25cm.
I really think for that space a 250w is the go or CFL's.

thanks again mammath for those words of experiance, i was unsure as to the 600w myself and i got rid of my 400w so it looks like it will be a 250w grow through out. just 1 thing though will i get decent bud density with the 250w ?

Shit I'm doing math and it's killing me.
Your space is 900 x 900 x 1250mm?
3 x 3 x 4'H for all imperial?
That's 9 sqft of area with 4' of height?

If you had a little more height you could vent a 600w but with such limited vert' go a 400w with those ambient temps.
Good ventilation is really important so suck as much heat off the bulb as possible.
250w will not be enough lumens for those sqm's, sorry my mistake with my math...
If you gotta buy a bulb, get a 400 and work around it.

You will have to grow with style though to suit your limitations.
Scrog or LST, flower early etc.

It's all good fun dialing in a new set up though.
