Saw one of these at the store today...would it work well for Cloning?
My concern is that after the clones have rooted, how can I transplant them into the AG?
Those peat pellets look like they may have soil inside, or something....

Anyone used these before, or have any thoughts>

those thing suck, and for transplant with dirt. You wet them first and then put the seed in.....the puff up to the size of small candles, 3x the dry height....anyways the are dirt. You would be better off with furniture foam or a clean spunge...unused, no chem added.......

Well, 6 weeks in, and quite happy with progress :)
Went out of town this weekend, had my buddy stop in and water 'em to prevent them dying, came back to beautiful plants!

Bought Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom, gonna start flowering in a couple of days here... the question is, do I start the nutes before the 24hr dark period pre-flower?

Also picked up some rockwool plugs, I think it's time to clone off a few before I flower them. In Picture 2, that big branch on the top-left side - can I snip it to clone with?
Basically, what's the requirements for a "good" branch to use with cloning? just 2 leaf sets/nodes, or already as big as possible? Something else?

Thanks for the support all!

started 24hr darkness last night, lights go back on tomorrow morning...

I'll take a couple clones from her in the morning as well, see what happens...

Excited, yet nervous at the same time. Flower stage, here I come!

So far, having some issues with flowering - the timer I had was way off in accuracy, so once I switched to 12/12 it was all fucked up. Off at 2AM one day, Midnight the next....annoying

Bought a regular simple 24hr 1-setting timer, hopefully that'll do the trick. Also moved out the chairs/cabinet, to allow plenty of grow-room for the plants. Even at floor-level, they're freakin' tall...definitely let em go a little long, shoulda flowered 1-2 weeks earlier :wall:

Good news? They're still going strong! Part of me thinks I see little mini-bud sites, but it's probably a trick of the light :weed:

Bad news? A bit of browning at the bottom branches/leaves, either nute-burn or heat-burn, I think a combination. Hopefully nothing too bad...

Enjoy!

as of right now, yeah, i just have the 4x CFLs above, and 2x CFLs beside it. Once i get to Home Depot tomorrow, I plan to pick up another CFL-splitter, and add 2 more CFL lights to the mix....somehow
I really don't wanna get into HPS/MH/etc this grow, not only for heat/expenses, but also for security and peace-of-mind. I understand CFLs, they're cheap and easy, and i dont need extra ballasting/etc for em

As far as I can tell, the burn happened between the time I left for the weekend, and the time I flowered em. The constantly changing lights/conditions must have stressed the girls out, leading to burn....at least that's what I hope
