The water just runs through the tubing which is snugly fit thru the alum sq stock and it for surely helps out the heat. B4 installation the aluminum frame would get soooo fkn hott it was like touching the metal part on a bic lighter after keeping it lit for 30 seconds! With it installed i can literally hold the bar with no problems what so ever and the bars stays cool amd the water actually stays pretty cool too even after running all day. The frame after lights off cools down pretty quickly. I think next time ill actually use the square stock again but have water flowing thru the aluminu itself. With a radiator w/fan
I like how you roll Rolla.

One of the best parts about these forums is how clever and resourceful some people are at solving problems. I like your light build too.

Yesterday I raised the main Veg lights 4" , from 12" back to 16". Today the early veg got moved the same. Probably could have yesterday. 12" is a bit too much...I'd like to stick with 18"-14"...need to stay on it though.

So far I'm quite happy with the Veg COBs. My only complaint is my Main Veg Tent's humidity rose to 60% without the HID. My dehumidifier can only pull the main room down to 55% recently. It rains 2 -3 days a week lately. Temp stays right at 77, which is nice.

Interesting comment on the humidity increase and something an one switching to LED's in general needs to account for. Less heat = higher RH. That can be good or bad, depending on what you're starting from.

Personally I prefer 60-65% RH in veg, never an issue with PM or mould in veg and they tend to prefer the higher RH levels. I maintain 55% or under, typically 50-55% in flowering but I don't concern myself with high RH in veg.

Good to hear, I put the monitor in a tent pocket at a height between the lights and canopy and got 82 degrees and 55% humidity. Overall, I think conditions are pretty good.

tbh the plants seem to be doing just fine. Nice test your running lol.

What is the light originally intended for? Garage etc?
For outdoor lighting, security, etc, and they list Garden as a use...lol

I'm happy with them so far, and I just got two 3000k delivered. Will be running a flower test shortly, I'm flush with SkunkBerry1 Clone Soldiers. :bigjoint:
