I use 12/12 myself. I doubt if the extra 2 hours would make much difference and you would be using more power anyway. Could just use the same power on more lights and grow more plants at 12/12. Besides, I don't really trust it that much. Using 12/12 will make sure.
At least one gardener mentioned nice gains using 13.5 / 10.5 while incorporating the 730 exposure. It motivated me to give it a test. Im initiating flower w 12/12 but gonna switch to 13.5 / 10.5 after 3weeks or as soon as i determine that flowering is in full swing. Im not sweating the extra energy if it delivers weight. I will most def report my experience. Today is day 4 of 12/12.

Actually 13.5 would be safe after all for most strains. I was thinking 14. Yeah that might be worth trying.

UV-B 290nm - 310nm causes suntan and sunburn. Higher elevation burns faster is all. I used to live at 6000 ft in Arizona and played at 9000 ft watching tourist sunburn in hours. Peace
As a tourist you can get fried on the Outer Banks in an hour. even less for gingers.

* im gonna have to give a thumbs down to OBX this year because of the shitty discrimination law.

As the backlash to North Carolina's recent "anti-discrimination" law mounts, one of the NBA's most legendary names — Charles Barkley — is calling on the league to relocate 2017's All-Star Game in Charlotte in protest.

Last month, Republican Gov. Pat McCrory signed into law a bill that prevents cities and counties from passing their own anti-discrimination rules, and even bars transgender citizens from using the restroom of their preference.
