Loss of Color during curing???? a little help

I just dont know if I have it figured out yet. The moisture content is good I think, I am guessing its about 10-15%, but it just seems like everythig loses its green color< and turns brown...not like old dirtweed brown, but just not nice and green like when its harvested, or sometimes I buy a sack just for a diffrent thing, and its so green..

I like to trim it down pretty good after I harvest, not a complete manicure but close, it just seems easier this way. I dry it in a empty closet thats probably bo 70-75% on a warm day...liv in hawaii. Its dark as night in there. I hang from string with adequete spacing...I do not run a fan in there, but it is not a humid room. I dry for about 2-4 days, however long it takes for the outside of the bud to be suffeciently dry, I never wait for the stems to snap, I tried that a few times and it was just a crispy critter after, so I think I got a pretty good idea of when to jar the bud.before I jar the herb I give them I final trim, to where they look really nice. I have some nice large glass jars, that I dont pack tightly but fill bout 3/4 full. I leave them in there for 12hours, then burp them by removing the lid for 4hours. and so on so forth until i think its where it needs to be. the curing pocess seems to be working. except for the color. Now not every batch has turned a brown color, but more than not. its just not right. I dont know what I am doing wrong. I make sure to keep them in the dark...i have read a million posts, articles.... any suggestions?

Thanks guys...gals....an tips or secrets would be great.

Your growing mold. Or at least it's trying to grow.
Moisture levels at 10-15% ......they are not.
Does the BROWN bud resemble this image but maybe with less white ?
(forget the green colour etc just look at the brown shading, as this image is of a bud with ROt fully grabbing hold whilst alive.... your is trying through the cure so the whitish looking mold here probabley aint present on yours)

You aint' drying enough. stems SHOULD snap or just about snap. (I like em still a tad chewy..but almost at snapping point.)
Your Leaving too much moisture in the bud and it's causing it to decay...... more than likely the rot isn't managing to fully grow and take over as the moisture levels are decreasing.
But you should n't have the moisture there in the jars at that level anyway.
Buds do go a paler green on drying and curing. Some strains can turn almost golden in colour through the cure. BUT NOT BROWN
2-4 days aint nowhere near enough (I generally take 1-2 weeks..sometimes 3 to dry)
Checking to see if outside is dry is pointless as inside after 2-4 day it can/will still be damp as foooook. (Damp and warm = MOLD)
You do need to vent and bring in fresh air whilst drying or your creating an idea breeding ground for mold.
You can grow the most beautiful buds...... but try and short change em on drying time, curing time and don't care for em through this period your weed can become worthless.
Too many growers do not see drying/curing as a major part of the over all grow...... It is.

A picture speaks 1000 words.

Mold was my first guess too, but mold has kind of a gray look to it as well.

Harvesting late and allowing the buds to come in contact with each could cause an amber colored coating of resins on all the buds. It could be many, many other things as well, but the close proximity and constant rubbing up against other buds (when resinous enough) could be sorta coating the buds in a hashy goodness.

Might be a good thing... probably not though.

Na don't need pic's to know it aint resin.
All factors point to mold TRYING to develope.
First signs of mold on curing buds is generally a light brown colour.
Smell is a giver on wet bud but as moisture levels drop the odour can be missed.
