Hey i was wondering if someone can give me a detailed explanation to the term LST and the process involved.
I found this "LST - Acronym for Low-Stress Training, the technique of manipulating the branches in order to reduce plant height, expose certain branches to light, and/or distribute hormones to lower branches of the plant to encourage larger buds."

All you have to do is cut the lower branches off so the light and plant energy is concentrated on the canopy?

Im not really familiar with the who LST thing but:
it can be a lil complex but basically you can tie down or tie back some branches with string to allow more light to the crucial areas and or trim the lower fan leaves near the end of flowering or budding to concentrate more energy to the cola or top buds!!!! hope that helps https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/140247-indoor-400w-mh-1-seed.html

check my 16day old from outdoor bagseed 1 400w mh

LST is bending and tying branches for optimal light....cutting the lower branches off is called lolipoping two different styles of growing ........

dude check this out, this helped me a ton, i believe this thread originated on RIU, but found it on google, what it is really is that you tie down the main stem so that your small shoots become large main shoots, the bent main stem will let the full brunt of the light through, instead of traditionally the lower branches fighting for light, this method takes a longer veg time, but its well worth it, i did this to 3 plants and i have atleast 10 HUGE cola's as opposed to one cola and smaller side branches
