This is my grow journal for 2022 season..

This years run will consist of GDP ibl, Island Sweet Skunk Remix and Dirty Dancing..

I germinated all of these around Jan 15th or "maybe a week later..

I will be vegging these under 1 600w hid and 1 520w LED, in about a 5 x 9 area or so..

My grow mix and nutrients are as followed: Promix 70%, worm castings 20%, rabbit castings 8%, the rest is mulch and additives.. Nutrients is Gaia Green All Purpose and Power Bloom I premixed all my soil over 2 months ago and have since transplanted everything into their final pots..

I will be top dressing, making compost teas and foliar spraying as well..

These ladies will start their veg indoors and come late spring I will be transitioning them to the outdoors.. This log should have both stages from inside and outside of their life cycle..

Dirty Dancing

I didn't get enough pics of the Dirty Dancing, I will add more pics of this strain as I go along..

So far everything is running smoothly, the GDP IBL you can tell has been worked by Professor Sprout, every single one of them look exactly the same and they all have that grape smell to them, he inline bred towards the grape on this one.. So far I am impressed with Lucky 13 Seeds, time will tell how well they do.. I will post back again with further updates..

I forgot to mention they are all in 7 gal containers, they will veg in these containers until we move them into pre dug holes that I will have premixed up for them.. These holes will consist of Pro Mix, wood shavings, compost, worm castings, bunny castings, chicken manure, kelp, dolomite lime, Gaia Green and a few other additives to help balance the soil.

Looks like a good start. Vegging in 7gal to transplant in ground outside, those things are going to be trees! Looking forward to these beasts.

Trees are the final goal, I will be running support lines outside to hold them up and they will also have full sun light from sun up until sun down, there is nothing interfering with the light path outside.

That Dirty Dancing looks very sativa. If you've got a female it will probably be a REALLY tall tree. It will be a slow grow for outside though and wouldn't be an outside grow where I live.

We will see, I ran a heavy sativa last year all they way up til November, Im not trying to do that again.

I should still have enough time to veg the new set of ISS and RoadKill OG, with how slow GDP grows they should still catch up..

If Dirty Dancing ends up being a heavy Sativa dominant I may just gift it to a friend, I do not have time to be dealing with heavy sativas outside.. The RoadKill OG Im hoping to find a RKS dominant female but who knows with seeds.

On the Lucky 13 site they say mostly sativa for Dirty Dancing.

I've become a definite fan of the Lucky 13 seeds. Best wishes on getting some female skunks going. They're supposed to get BIG.

If you haven't read the Lucky13 blog on mutant cannabis yet the Sweet Skunk is one of the strains to watch. Check out the video under the heading "The Benefits of Polyploid Mutants ".

Plants are starting to mature and sex more, so far this is setting up to be the worst male to female ratio I have seen in 16 years of growing regular seeds, this time I just got the short stick luck.. Here is where we are so far.. I will also be adding some pics to show.. So far ISS was 3-3 males and I scrapped them, trying to replace them now.. Dirty Dancing 2-3 males and the GDP so far is looking like 9-13 males so far, another one is looking like it may be male as well and 1 of the ones not showing is a stunted runt mutant. so out of everything I am looking at maybe 4 females to work with out of over 20 seeds popped. Now I know with regular seeds its a crap shoot and a 50/50 chance on females but out of 16 years of running nothing but regulars this is the worst male/female ratio I have ever ran. The 1 confirmed female GDP is nice looking tho, very sweet grapey stem smell rub with purple urkle dominate growth, but the selection pool to choose from is going to be slim on this run. I will continue running things and see what happens... I will have pics soon.

Here are some pics.. I am germinating more seeds now to try and salvage this years run. I have a new set of ISS in the works and some Roadkill OG, I am hoping that I at least get 3 GDP females to work with, we will see how it goes..

You get the gist here, its a sausage party this run unfortunately, I am hoping that the added run will help and add better luck to this mess.

Okay so my outlook on Lucky 13 Seeds has been even more cemented.. Professor Sprout is a straight stand up dude. I wrote him just to let him know that I had a sausage party going on this run, he offered to replace them without any hesitations at all, without me even asking, I was not writing him to ask for nor did I ever expect replacements, I get as a customer buying regular seeds I am at the mercy of a 50/50 split no matter how you look at it. My sausage party here means someone else is having lady luck.. I told him I didn't write him to ask for nor did I expect a replacement.. He then wrote me back telling me that the ratio I was seeing was just not sitting well with him and insisting on sending replacements.. This guy just showed me that he cares more about his customers and this plant then he does about making a dollar or a min a fame.. He totally gained my respect.

Quick update: The Island Sweet Skunk that I germinated to replace the last set of males has cracked their seeds and are newborns.. 100% germ rate..
I have them in peat pucks atm but I am transplanting them directly into the 7 gal pots that I took the males down from.. I added a handful of straight promix hps with myco around the area where the puck will be placed, this will allow the seedling to grow into straight promix first before hitting that hotter soil. I will not water seedlings for a bit while they start off in these pots.

The Roadkill OG also have cracked their shells, 100% germ rate on these as well.. I will be putting these in 7 gallon pots that I added a handful of promix as well. My hopes is this round I get a better female ratio and they can catch up to the couple of GDP ladies I have.

I will post pics as soon as i get them settled into their pots

The ISS and RKOG are both in pots and starting to grow, lets hope this time we get more females..

ISS 3 days in pot

RKOG 3 days in pot
20220305_105425.jpg

I will continue to monitor them, I still will not be watering these for a while since they are in such big pots, hopefully by the time they get to the hotter soil they will be able to handle it, we shall see..

GDP Female that I am LST and I will be giving her a haircut this weekend. The lower leaf defect is from the smaller pot that just had promix in it, I left her in there a bit longer then I should have, she's fine now and all the new growth is healthy so she's enjoying the soil she's in now. I will be trimming her up this weekend so I can get more light down to her lowers that the bigger fan leaves are blocking.
20220305_105557.jpg

I will get more pics as they get a bit bigger and we will see how things turn out. There is still a ways to go before we send the ladies outside and start this season off.

I got a request for more Pineapple Poundcake from a lady who went through cancer treatments. She finds PP settles nausea down like no other strain she's tried. I won't be popping beans for another few weeks though.

You're going to have a jungle and get carbon friendly points for all the greenery at the rate you're going !

The males I added them to the compost pile lol, more nitrogen for my compost. I may have ended up with more males then I liked at the start of this run but Professor Sprout went well beyond expectations by replacing them, I will keep sorting until I find the ladies needed for this years outdoor run, Im confident I will find them in time.

The Dirty Dancing has this crazy ass tropical fruit/cleaner scent going on with its stem rub test. Very unique and strong smelling, I wonder if she would finish by October..
