*Lumetek Dimmable Ballast questions please*

Hello i have just brought a 600w Lumitek Dimmable ballast,

My simple and only question is this,


Is it better to dim my 600w lamp to the 400w setting.

Or buy a 400w lamp to run on the 400w setting.


It read that you can dim the 600w but i just want to be clear as i expect it to be delivered in the next day or two.

I just bought it last week, best decision I ever made. On warmer days I switch all the way down to 360 or 400, on nice cool cloudy days like today I crank it all the way up to Super Lumens :D

I use a 600w bulb, I like the freedom of being able to choose my wattage depending on the temps and amount of plants Im flowering. Happy growing

Definitely get the 600, more versatile that way. If u get a 400 that's it, you have a 400. With the 600, like the poster above said , you can crank down to 400w and set the light closer. Than as your canopy gets bigger u can set the light farther out and crank up to 600. Seems if u get the 400 you are defeating the purpose of the adjustable ballast.

Great stuff...I run a 600w but it's far too hot at the mo so can't wait to get this Lumitek to drop the watts/heat down...'' thanks kb

I have brought the 600w Lumitek so i can have the option to lower the power to 400w, make my 600w to a 400w on hot days etc, thanks kb
