That whooshing sound you hear is all the rich people moving out of Seattle.
The idea that EVERYONE making over $125k is going to just up stakes and bail is laughable.

Besides, they aren't missing any meals; why is it so unacceptable to you to consider they might have an obligation to help those who ARE missing meals or don't have a safe place to sleep?

America has become amazingly self centered and unwilling to help others who are suffering.

Strawman, I never said ALL will move out. Some will some won't, but it will discourage any rich from moving into the city. If you are a multi millionaire why wouldn't you move or buy just outside the city and avoid the tax? It will also depress real estate prices for high end properties, why buy a million dollar apartment or house with a built in tax?

It's a tax on income, not assets.

Those who earn millions already live in tax havens.

It's time to stop making excuses for the race to the bottom and start taking care of those who can't take care of themselves.

Or maybe they will move there to live in a city without huge disparity, high crime rates, and crumbling roads and bridges. Eradicating poverty is in the interest of the well off. It improves the quality of our lives and increases our safety.

Having supported (tentatively) Rawn Pawl in 2011 is less absurd than worshipping Bernard in 2017. Funny how you would make an innuendo about me and buck like that. Are you thinking about his balls?
